The White Sox have an afternoon game today; Tigers play an evening game.

Cleveland at Chicago 2:10 PM Kluber Kluber (1-4, 5.36 ERA) vs Liriano 6-11, 5.24 ERA)
Kansas City at Detroit 7:05 PM Chen (11-12, 5.22 ERA) vs Sanchez (3-6, 4.55 ERA)

Sox again can't get a big hit and lose 4-3. Gotta hope Chen pitches against the Tigers like he did against the Sox.

Check this out, some child named Dan Szymborski scribbled an article with his crayons stating the 'real' Triple Crown should be calculated on other factors that, oh by the way, just happen to coincide with Trouser Trout's stats. Yep, Szymjerkski just wants to completely do away with 130+ years of baseball history, and dismiss a feat that no one in baseball has accomplished in 45-years, just to support his agenda. I cannot believe they permit children to write articles for ESPN. Keith Law is another Luddite. Babies must play, I suppose.

In a nutshell, if Cabrera (or anyone else for that matter) wins the Triple Crown, a feat no man has pulled-off in 45-years, he deserves to win the Triple Crown. Of course, given the influence of the aforementioned dolt and rube (and sports ignoramuses like 'em) they would oppose Triple Crown winner Secretariat being awarded Horse of the Year because 'Sir Manure' complied some insignificant stats while always finishing up the rear (and I'm not referring to Law and Szymjerski's nocturnal activities). Apparently, winning the HR, RBI and BA titles mean nothing to them.

Anyway, more unabashed pandering by the ESPN trouser Trout lovers: Miguel Cabrera's DPs mean something and I quote (seriously, I cannot make this stuff up!)...

What if we simply added those outs to each player's batting line? Give Cabrera an additional 0-for-28 and Trout an additional 0-for-7? Let's see what happens.

Current batting lines:

Cabrera: .331/.395/.612
Trout: .323/.394/.554

With double plays:

Cabrera: .316/.379/.584
Trout: .319/.390/.547

Wow! With selective math like this, perhaps this yutz should be in charge of the Federal budget. What's next? We don't like Cabrera's hits so we won't count them?

Sanchez is pitching a gem. I said back when the trade happened that I thought he would help the Tigers down the stretch kind of like Fister did last year but not quite as impressive because that would just about be impossible. I think that holds up today. It looks like a good trade to me as long as Turner doesn't turn into the next Verlander in a couple years.

Just took a little while for him to get comfortable.

Hopefully the whitesox and Tigers'll keep winning and we'll have a 1 game playoff.

That might be exciting for the rest of the country but I still haven't recovered from our last 1 game playoff. I want to finish them off before it comes to that.
