Just glanced at the AL Central standings ....
Wh Sox are still up on the Tigers by 2.5 (Sox got a rain delayed win today ... 7 innings)

Hadn't realized that the rest of the division is 15 + games back.

Wow.

... Kansas City is #3. :eek: They are playing well and could be a good team in the coming years. Additionally, we play them 10 more times this years so they could make or break our season. I'm just hoping they're not a Royal pain in our arse. ;)

but standing wise they are not a threat.
 
Big Week in the AL Central

White Sox start a 4-game road series at Baltimore this evening and the Tigers begin a 3-game series at Kansas City tomorrow. Afterwards, both teams meet for a 3-game weekend series in Detroit. Baltimore is playing well and they are in Wild Card contender. Kansas City has been playing well and could be motivated to play the spoiler. It should be interesting to view the standing come Sunday night.

Go Tigers!!!
 
Tigers pick up a 1/2 game tonight as the O's beat the Wh Sox 4-3 !
Tigers now 2 GB

Tigers and Sox also play another series the weekend after if I'm not mistaken ... :D

I'd much rather Win the division than take my chances in a 1 game playoff just to get in the playoffs ...

This new fangled WC game reminds me too much of the NCAA when they added the 65th team for the Basketball tournament.

No doubt. It would be very disappointing not to win the AL Central, but it would be an epic failure not to make the playoffs. Go Tigers!

Baltimore is helping our cause (of course they beat us too) 3-0 so far over the Sox, but still early ....

Tigers need to get the bats going early and often tonight.
 
Sox losing big as well, Royals seem to have the Tigers number this time of year
