Verlander again taking the mound tonight for the Tigers. He has been stuck on 12-wins for quite sometime. Go Tigers!

Not many games schedule for tonight. Tigers can make-up one-half game on Chicago in the AL Central. In the Wild Card race, they can make-up one-half game on Baltimore and one full game on Oakland or Tampa Bay who are playing each other. We need a win!!!

Wow! I didn't even realize JV was pitching an afternoon game. Anyway, Tigers get a 3-2 extra win and JV logs another no-decision. Not much run production when he's pitching this year; 2.50 ERA and only 12 wins.

Big win for the Tigers, glad they could pull that one out yesterday

Sox tried to give one away tonight, but came back to get the win. Once again peavy pitches great and gets a ND. But with the Tigers loss, lead back to 2 1/2 games.

Yea, tough one for the tigers, big weekend for sports around here next weekend, sox/tigers next week....and of course a bit off subject-Michigan/Alabama in Dallas :)

That was an excellent game to watch last night in Detroit! I thought the Angels would be worn out after their Fenway slugfest. Porcello sure can be good when he's on. But once he starts to falter he falls down. All of a sudden Angel pitching is showing some life. I hope it keeps going that way the next two games.

Sox win a 1-run game on the road while the Tigers lose a 1-run game at home. This has happened far too often this season. Given the way this season has played out so far, the Tigers are in serious trouble of failing to make the playoffs. Leyland and Dombrowski need to get this collection of very talented, and highly paid players, playing as a team.

Go Tigers!

Sox were at home, not on the road. Leading 7-2 going into the 9th & gave up 6 runs (3 walks, all scored). Came back in the bottom of the 9th and scored 2 to win the game.

I was talking with my Dad in the ninth and we were both Shocked with Valverde's 1, 2, 3 inning, don't think thats happened this year.

Don't think so....don't think this year has ever been 1,2,3
