They added a LH rookie call up to pitch Wed night so that both Peavy and Sale would pitch in Detroit. Sales throwing the ball well, Peavy didn't pitch bad, 1 inning always seems to beat him and they don't score for him.

I noticed that when the pre game show was on, when they went over the ERA's ...
His ERA is great and with the record he has, shows the lack of support.

Bats have gone cold, Sale didn't have much after getting hit in the hand. Have to come back and avoid the sweep tomorrow.

Tigers have Jacob Turner going tomorrow, very raw, don't know what you'll get, he's up for Drew Smyly (injured), last time out he got Bombed early gave up like 7 runs in the first two innings and the game was over .... against the Angels
His call up outing before that, he shut the Cards down and won.

Just don't know what your gonna get.

Yea Procello seems to be that tease or at this point maybe this is who he is?

..and Porcello pitched brilliantly. Of course, this begs the question, "What can't he do this every game?" :)

Very similar to Scherzer, till recent, you never knew which Max we would be getting either.

Nice stat for the tigers for this series, all eleven runs have been with two outs, something they were strggling with earlier in the season, runners on base

So far, this IS who he is, Jeckel and Hyde .... With Max Scherzer as his partner, these two swapping positions time to time.

So far in Porcello's career he's been given a pass, he's not the Top pitcher, so the pressure isn't on him.
The excuse has been "He's Young", he did start very early, Tigers rushed him up back when they had no one else to go to.

He IS young, just 23, seems like he's been in the rotation forever, however this is his 4th year, seems like you should have consistency of some sort by now.

So, as you said, maybe THIS is who he is, always to be inconsistent and baffling.

That along with the "They have scored 35 of the last 42 runs on 2 out hits" ... (something close to that actually, don't have the stats in front of me)

Today is a BIG game for these teams (Tigers and Wh Sox), Tigers either pull ahead by a full game and a half ... or fall back out of 1st , a half game back.

While I didn't expect a sweep coming in to the weekend. you knew coming in it was an odd swing being a 3 game series.
Tigers were a 1 1/2, so the would have 3 options at weekends end, if they took 2 of 3 they only pick up a game, a sweep would be 3 games, while only one win would be a loss of a game ... so its actually a huge swing between 3 games and 1 (or less).
