Wow! I noticed the Tigers came back to win last night with a 9th inning walkoff HR. Also, I noticed Max is pitching well this afternoon. It's like a tale of two Scherzers.

Yup, Scherzer pitched well, as did Benwah !, then came Valvrde, who can't get ANYONE out, gives up a 2 run HR to Dunn, now thery trail 3-2 in the bottom of 9th.

I had a feeling that they should leave Benwah ! in for the 9th, but they didn't.

Valverde enjoyed great success last year...even though he frequently made me very nervous. This year he is quickly becoming a boat achor and not a closer. They should have left Benoit in the game.

Anyway, we still alive in the bottom of the 9th.

Tigers have won 4 games in a row twice this year and have not won more than 2 in a row this year outside of those two stretches.

Ugh! I think Valverde is leading the league for "Blown Saves" this year... :(

It could be worse. I think I heard that Marmol from the cubs blew 4 consecutive saves before finally losing his job. How long before Beniot takes the job from last years only perfect closer.

I really hope he gets it together because we need both of them in the back end of the bull pen.

Yeah! Valverde fans two and the Tigers preserve the victory and take two of three from the White Sox. Now, it's on to Seattle to battle a very good pitching/very poor hitting Mariners team. Fister is schedule to take the mound tomorrow night. :) Go Tigers!

I'm looking forward to seeing how he does tonight. The 10:00 start time will sure make work tough tomorrow though.
