Yeah coke mowed them down in the 8th then leyland yanked coke for the ninth inning and then......

All the talk show hosts were questioning why leyland pulled coke last night

Easy to do when thew guy he brings in gets beat ...

I've often wondered why he has to bring Valverde in every day in the ninth, if the guy before him had an easy 8th (usually Benwauh !)

I fell asleep before the game was over but from the highlights it looked like Valverde had the bases loaded with a 2 run lead. The bull pen has been unbelievably shakey this season. I heard this weekend that we were 77-0 when leading after 7 innings last year. The Tigers were the first team to do that since 1920. I think they have already lost 4 or 5 when leading after 7 this year.

Well looks like this years version of valverde, is todd jones in disguise

I know he is no longer in the AL Central but I guess Inge hit a walk off grand slam last night for the A's

Well, I just noticed the Tigers squandered another good pitching performance and lost 2-1 last night in Seattle. So much for that sweep I was hoping for against the Mariners. Anyway, Scherzer takes the mound this evening in Oakland so we're in for a complete mystery as to which Max will show up this evening. Oh, least we forget if Inge will finally grow a bat and use it against his former team of 11-years.

I know it's early into the season, but if I were grading the Tigers I would give them a C- or D+ at this stage. Okay, it's a D+

Go Tigers!

Well Tigers are off to the A's and Brandon Inge, looks like Inge has been playing better as of late, perhaps a fresh start may help

Why are the Twins so bad this year? I though they were getting some players back from injury and would be somewhat competitive.

bad pitching
Morneau on DL again
too many rookies on the team
Mauer cant catch right now (so he plays 1st base) so we have Drew "you might as well have a pitcher hit for me as they probably could do better" Butera as catcher

Pretty much says it.

I'll punch Inge's face if he doesn't strike-out twice and hit two weak ground outs to the pitcher...you know, like when he played for the Tigers. :D

Fwiw, Inge is hitting .219 for them with 2 HR's and 9 rbi (8 games)

Toronto just went upon the Twins 6-1 on a two-out infield pop that didn't even make the pitcher's mound. Four defenders watched it hit the ground. Sigh.

Tigers win, Brandon Inge hits his second second grand slam for the A's since he has been with them
