Tigers win, Brandon Inge hits his second second grand slam for the A's since he has been with them

Yep, we got out to a big lead and held on for the Win. Next in the queue is Rick Porcello. At some pont this season, the Tigers will have to evaluate whether Porcello will ever mature into a consistent big-league pitcher.

I think they said it was his 2nd GS this WEEK ...

Thats fine, hope he does well out there .... still hitting .222

Yea, if he gets to a 250 that would be good for him, that's all I was really hoping for here. But man do we need a second basemen with a bit of pop

Well, lets see if his last outing has any lasting effects, he pitched very well.

Thats suppose to be why Raburn is still here.

I think Leyland should put Raburn on the bench in the first half of the season and see how he plays after the ASG.
He's pathetic in the first half.

On a positive note, looks like Cabrera has fixed his issues ... well see.

Who wudda thunk that Dirks, Jackson and Laird would be atop the Tigers batting average leaders.

I agree, memo to Mr. Leyland...Please keep dirks in the lineup :)

Great to see Jackson off to a good start!

I agree. He seemed like a nice guy that all the players liked so I hope he does well. It was getting to the point where he was getting louder boos in Comerica than A-Rod every time he came up to bat. It was just time for him to try his luck somewhere else where the crowd hasn't completely turned on him.

I've always been a Jackson fan, glad to see him hitting much better, we'll have to wait and see if it continues.

Dirks has been one of those surprises you get every few years, really like the guy, he's been trying to knock the Big Lewage door down for a few years, looks like he belongs now. :)

I like Dirks too...glad to see him coming along. As for Jackson, I am simply in awe of his fielding ability in CF - just a delight to watch. I'm just so glad that Jackson had cut his strikeout totals in half. Go Tigers! :)

Well, the bats have fallen asleep again .....

If Tigers can't win more than 2 in a row, they will go NOWHERE ... so far in the last month, I'm not sure that they have won 2 in a row yet.

And these are against teams they should be demolishing.

Tigers imposing line up tonight has a .250, .232, .253, .227, .160 and .188 in the STARTING Line up.

Btw, Jackson is out (day off), Boesch back in.
Peralta out, Santiago in.
Worth at 2b

Wow, Tigers lose again, bats are silent again they got to get moving!
