AL Central 2010

How many hard hit balls were there by the Indians.
I saw the Catch that A. Jackson made, any other great plays to save the NO No that wasn't ?

Galarraga said the ump apologized to him. WTF like that makes it all better. What a total a-hole. I hope they fire him and change replay rules so every call can get reviewed. There's 4 umps on the field!!

Jim Joyce was the ump, just saw it on espn bottomline
he must feel like a total idiot right now

IMO, the most unbelievable thing about that call was this:

Leyland said that Joyce told him that the runner BEAT THE THROW!!!

WTF, it wasn't even close!!

Had he said that he thought Galarraga bobbled the ball I could understand it A LITTLE BIT (it would have still been wrong, but not nearly as egregious).

What a joke. I hope this is a catalyst for long-overdue instant replay in MLB.
Not me. Even though this is one of the worst calls I have ever seen, bad calls are part of the game and always have been. Imagine how much lag time will be created with looking at all close calls? Not only will it slow down the game it can actually impact the game in a negative way. Pitchers having to sit around while waiting for calls can have a negative affect.

Why not just get rid of umps all together? We have technology know to where each strike can be called, each ball can be determined fair or foul, and each play out can be called safe our out by using cameras, sensors, and computers.

Twins lose in extra innings on a bad call too...2-1 Seattle in 10

2 outs man on 1st and 2nd and Ichiro hits a roller to 2nd base who shovels to Hardy to beat the runner by a good step to step and half (kinda like in Detroit) ;) yet he is called safe. Guy on 2nd already had rounded 3rd and Hardy throws home but Mijares thought the baseball was a doughnut and cut the ball off

Twins Loose, Tigers Win.... YEA :D

I was at the Tigers game tonight, what a game with Armando Gallaraga!

Heck you were sitting right in front of it !!!

How close did it look in full speed ?

Could the umps went to the Instant Replay booth and looked at the play and change the call right then and there ?

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
