AL Central 2010

Twins game suspended for tonight

they will finish the game up tomorrow starting at 4:10 and then the scheduled one at 6:10 on ESPN

well this answers my question...I figured as such about tickets

MINNEAPOLIS -- Tuesday night's Yankees-Twins contest at Target Field was suspended due to rain with the score tied 0-0 after five innings and will resume on Wednesday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. CT.

Only fans with tickets for Wednesday's contest will be admitted.

Well, that would make sense .....

You can't have 2 different people with seats to One game !

More than likely you won't have as many fans at the rest of the suspended game, but I'm sure they are aware of that !

yeah I know. Its kinda like a twi-night DH where the 1st game wont have lots of folks.
This might be hard on parking as at 4:00 folks are still at work and the ramps/lots are usually pretty full with regular folks parking

watching the news and they are talking about all the folks in Mpls today and how parking is at a premium

There is some motivator convention today at Target Center (next to Target Field) today. Throw in 40000 folks for the Twins game and 160000 folks who work in Mpls and yeah parking today will suck

Twins lose 1-0 in the 1st game/suspended game

Jeter hit a home run and made a amazing defense play in the 6th

Burnett gets the win without pitching today (since the Yankees scored int he 6th)

Tigers lose 5-4

Tigers BullPen blows Gem by Bonderman.

What has to this point been a very reliable pen for the Tigers, blew one today after Jeremy Bonderman pitched very well giving up only 1 run thru 7 inning of 5 hit ball, the run was unearned.

Gotta check out the catch Brenden Boesch made going into the stands.

Twins lose the 2nd game 3-2 on a HR in the 9th. Rauch blows the save

Gardy blew his top on a (I'll call it) BS crap the Yankees pulled. And Bert agrees on the crap should be changed

OK so with 2 outs tied 2-2 Yanks hit a HR. Immediately they get Rivera up but the next guy gets an out like 2 pitches later. So Girardi sends Pettite out there who takes like 10 minutes to throw 8 warmup pitches to start the bottom of 9th. Then he dwadles around the mound THEN Girardi comes out and pulls him for Rivera. Not because Pettite was hurt. But because he wanted to give Rivera time to warm up.

Bert says if you go out to the mound unless you get hurt you should have to pitch to one batter because "doing crap like that is bad for baseball"

With the Tigers losing yesterday and the day before ....
I expected to wake up today and see them a good 3-4 GB of the Twins .....

Tigers have lost recently some games that they SHOULD have won, always hate those games.

To my surprise, they are only 1 GB and actually have gained ground while going 5-5 in thier last 10 games.

Agreed. It might not be against the written rule, but it is definitely bush league behavior by an organization that knows better.

Ya know, there MAY be a written rule about going to the mound and pitching, you would think this type of thing would have a rule.

I dont know if there is but like they said "what can the umpires do? Wag their finger at the Yankee dugout saying "now now thats a no-no"

It was pretty bush league.

No, they would probably throw someone out for that, them self absorbed umpires !

You could put a fix to that kind of stuff by BEATING THEM !!!! :D

There are WAY too many players / teams that are in awe of Rivera and that intimidation helps him every night.

There are some teams that hit him well, but not many.

Alot of teams tend to give up when he comes in.

He's not god and he's getting old, teams should be able to hit him by now.

Ice, a guy that looks a bit like your avatar missed catching Kubel's second home run tonight. Goodness, I hate the Yankees!

Tigers finding ways to lose games of late, not a good sign.

Now trail in the 9th 5-3.

Tigers cut it to 5-4 on Cabrarra's 3rd HR tonight

Then they lose 5-4 ......

Twins up 2-1 in ninth
