I have been searching around this forum but havent seem to find the answer to the above mentioned.

I would like to have 8 tvs hooked up to the hopper system. Currently I have 3 722ks that control 6 tvs (one living room, one game room and 4 bedrooms. However I am ready to transfer to the hopper system and I would like to add 2 more tvs (one for the dinning room and one for my patio/garage).

First off, i will be purchasing this equipment. Will dishnetwork allow me to operate 8 tvs on a residential account.

From what I have researched can someone kindly confirm if the below is all the equipment that i need.

3 hoppers with sling
4 joeys
1 wireless joey (for the patio I would the ability to move it between the patio and the garage)
2 duo nodes
2 power inserters (not exactly sure what this does)
2 dpp44 switches
1 HIC
2 two way splitter

Any assistance will be welcomed to let me know if this is allowed and if the equipment I have listed above is all that i need to make this work for 8 tvs.

Thanks in advance.

Power inserters will be for the DPP44 switch, as they are not powered by the Coax in the way most other switches are. They need their own external power...I asked a couple days ago and never got an answer, but will one power inserter work for 2 DPP44's?? That all said, you would need 1 Duo Node, and 1 Solo node for 3 Hoppers*(you can use two, but I have read there can be issues, especially if not capped off on the 4th host port.)

I am pretty sure and according to the DPP44 switch instructions, you need a power inserter for each DPP44 switch in your system.

I encourage HIC every time, so my very bias vote says yes. 100% less issues with a HIC over wireless and Ethernet as far as BB goes.

I have 4 Hoppers a Joey and a Wireless Joey, I don't have a HIC and have never had any problems. My Hopper that configures the network is right by the Wireless router though.

I never have used a HIC either with my 4 HWSs, Joey, and 2 WJs. My Hopper that configures the network thru Ethernet cables goes thru 3 Cisco switches before reaching my wireless router.
