Configuration: 722k connected to a Sony STR-DH540 receiver and then to an LG TV. Using a Universal Remote MX-350 remote. The 722 inactivity timers is disabled - it should never go into standby. The remote is programmed to turn on the 722k, the receiver and the TV with one button.

Problem: Sometimes when the system is turned on the Dish box appears to be rebooting. It's not clear exactly what it did because the TV is off (!) but the lights on the front of the box are out and the first thing that appears on the TV is the searching for signal screen from the 722.

The 722 does not reboot while the user is watching TV. Is seems to happen when the TV has been off for a while but that may be a misleading piece of information.

Dish have replaced the 722, I've run full diagnostics and their techs have checked the dish and signal strength at the cable and at the dish.

Any ideas?

I have my dish 722 connected to a Denon receiver by hdmi, since around October it has been rebooting and getting worse. I thought at first it was a new software load that had a bug but it's getting worse to even rebooting when not being watched but taping programs. My 722 until October was rock solid btw. Wish I could offer more help other then letting you know you're not the only one and I am contacting dish about it.
