510 power issue

I was rearranging some furniture today so I unplugged my 510 and set it aside. When I try to start it back up I plug it in and I hear a chirping noise from inside (cooling fan/hard drive?) but there is no response to the power button. Dish Tech Support says it can't be fixed and they will send me another. Wife is upset that all programs on hard drive have been lost. Any suggestions?
