Found what I think is a bug in the 311 since the new software v. 256 downloaded. At least I hope it's on their end and not mine.
I keep the shopping channels etc. locked and hidden. Last night at 10PM I locked and hid another channel. I then noticed all my locked channels were showing in the guide and were not locked. Rechecked my lock menu which said the channels were locked and hidden but they weren't. Tried to access Channel Lock menu and the screen went black, no Guide, nothing, system froze, receiver blinked on and off a few times, came on and still a black screen and frozen system. I reset, unplugged receiver. Came back, acquired signal screen, downloaded guide. Still showing locked channels unlocked. Tried to access the Channel Lock screen, black frozen screen again.
Called E* and was told it may be a bug and they'll report it.
