Yep, football is where the real money is at. If they could elevate the program some it would be far more valuable to them than the basketball program is, even with it being elite.

Hmmm ...
I guess it does bring in the money due to the amount of people in the stands ... but ... I would think Kentucky Basketball would be at least very close to the football venue.

If they owned the arena then I would agree, but they just rent Rupp Arena....aka Lexington Center

Something for the resident Crimson Tide fan. I watched it this afternoon as I was bored and it was a new upload.

Birmingham, Alabama....1969....... Archie Manning leads the #20 Rebels of Ole Miss against the #15 ranked Crimson Tide of Alabama in one of the early night time broadcasts of college football on ABC

So what's yall thoughts on the big 12 upcoming expansion? AAC commissioner today said he expects schools to leave.

I wonder who they can get that really adds value.

Do other schools bail and turn it into conf USA 3.0?

It could change, but from what I've heard BYU is the only lock. The admins want to be in 3 time zones. It's a split among the higher ups with Cincinnati and Houston at 12. Apparently Houston has more votes at the moment. Good chance they go 14 with some mix of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, Colorado St and Memphis

Did you guys see the info about the College Semi Finals games being moved off of New Years Eve earlier in the week ?

This is a great move if you ask me, but it won't happen for a few years I believe.

I liked the games on New years, but I get it that if its not a markee match up, ratings will drop We are not big new years people, I like to see the games on New Years eve

I don't like the NYE games because it pretty much eliminates most of my friends getting together to watch the games as they are busy out with NYE.

I did not mind it as at our get together we hauled a tv outside and turned them on as we did other stuff, but it is probably a good move looking at the ratings to correct the issue.

I just don't want the games during the middle of the week. I want to be able to watch the second game til the end.

Same here, some of us work the next day. I don't even watch all of the national championship game because it's on a Monday.
