It should be considered unless they want to continue being Bama's b**** and the Georgia of the west.

But considering the disclaimer. No.

I don't think an undefeated team should be left out of the playoff. Alabama should not be in the top 4

That type of thinking is why a lot of times teams just get rolled in the championship game or playoff. In the end it leaves out much stronger teams. It is also the reason that the committee and the BCS as well as the AP considers more than the record as they should. So you would put IOWA in the playoff. thats rich.

A top 5 conference team is in that elite group for a reason. If they get rolled over then they get rolled over. How do you know that will happen? Alabama could get rolled over by Auburn next week. Will it happen? Probably not.

At least you agree that Ohio state didnt belong in the top 4 last year. lol

I think Ohio State should be number one. They are last years champs and are undefeated. IMO, gotta knock off the champ for them not to be number one.

I can understand the sentiment behind that but that's not how rankings work. The rankings are supposed to reflect who the best teams are every week. What Ohio State, or any other team, did last year is not really relevant to how good they are this week.

They're supposed to, but they still don't. Otherwise a team with a home loss to a 3-loss barely ranked team wouldn't be above 3 no-loss teams from power-5 conferences.

Lets see, theres more sec guys here than any other, so it's easy to see where this poll will sway. :eeek
It would make it no more different then every other poll ;)

The key thing would be that it would be fun to do.

I'll keep a look out for something we can use for the last couple weeks, and for next year.

I am sure the loss factors in somewhat, but they also take into account the game itself, and the factors that led to the loss, and how the teams are playing now. Right now, Bama is probably playing better than anyone, that is a widely accepted fact. A few games where they struggle could easily slip them down a few spots, even if they win.

Yeah, but right now that's against Mississippi St. No where in history has anyone ever used a victory against the Western Bulldogs as a case for greatness (Miss St. is a perennial cellar dweller of the SEC, they're Kentucky without Basketball. Their continued crapiness is why they were permanently pared with Kentucky, same with Ole Miss & Vandy).

And Arkansas didn't make that win against LSwho look good.

How miss state has been historically doesn't mean they are not a solid team this year though. Prescott is a good QB, mullen has brought in some solid players. World beaters? No.
A good team? Sure.

And the game, both of them, were utter domination. Not flashy 70 point scores, but total control of the game.

As to Arkansas, they are now healthy, and I can not think of many teams that would want to play them right now. Hell, they played us tough when we beat them.

No matter how much you talk up Arkansas, they are still the same team that lost to Toledo & Texas Tech.
Of course they did, but much like Oho State last season, teams can dramatically improve as time goes by, and while they are still "the same team", they are also a very different team entirely.

I know I have watched most of their games this season, and they are significantly better than they were to start. I can not say the same for Tech. I have not watched Toledo since.

They can, but has Arkansas really beaten any good teams? Or just teams that were overrated (Ole Miss & LSU)?

Toledo's only loss came a week ago against thier Nemesis Northern Illinois who has had thier number for 7 straight years now.
