I have not heard about the jersey auction, but I wonder if it being for charity makes it a non violation of the rules versus if he sold it for personal profit.
But the organization does have rules allowing college athletes to use their likeness for charitable causes — which would likely cover Fournette's jersey auction.
Can't believe Bama is losing to Arkansas 7-3 3rd q.
The same Arkansas that couldn't beat Toledo, Texas A&M or Texas Tech.
I know what your saying, the Bucks been winning but wait till 2nd half to do anything. Is that a bad thing? Toledo and A&M are undefeated and ranked, tech has two losses to top five teams.
As is, I was a little frustrated at the slow start at scoring. Bama was dominating that game in every measurable category. I had no doubts they would eventually wear them down and punch it in, but it took longer than I preferred.
Next weekend will be a huge week for college football. Cant wait!
which boosters? My guess would be the boosters.
Florida QB Will Grier has been suspended for the season for NCAA violations. Grier tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.
ProbablyWow. Just saw this on ESPN ticker.
How long is list of PED for the NCAA?
Similar to NFL?
Hmmm, imagine that ...which boosters?

http://espn.go.com/college-football...ers-records-reveal-details-cam-newton-scandal
A Miss St. booster did say that he a text from Cecil Newton where he asked for $180,000 and showed a payment plan to that effect. Unfortunately the text was on a cell phone that was "damaged" and so the text was "unrecoverable".
Ergo, no proof about Newton's father (not Cam) asking for money.
And no proof that he asked for money from Auburn, and not even any name's of boosters that might have paid it.
So, while Daddy Newton might have gotten money for Cam to go to Auburn, there's no proof, hence no punishments.
This is not at all where I was expecting it to go.who cares at this point?
No, it shows that the NCAA changed the rules for him.http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/yes-lsus-leonard-fournette-can-auction-his-jersey-/nnzXh/
Yep, so it appears no rules were violated.
Wow, thats HUGE ...Florida QB Will Grier has been suspended for the season for NCAA violations. Grier tested positive for performance enhancing drugs.
But apparently they have guidelines in place for charitable causes. If that is so, I do not see how that is changing anything for a certain player. No, it shows that the NCAA changed the rules for him.
They said he specifically was OK to do this because of the charity ... didn't say if anyone else could do it.
