They ran the ball on 3rd and 20 with 19 seconds left and no timeouts, and then only were able to kick the FG after a questionable delay of game.
That was a head scratcher! Did anyone else notice that neither Brenamann or Aikman questioned that? If there was no delay of game call, what were the Lions planning to do, spike the ball? Obviously if they did that, they turn the ball over on downs. It's also VERY questionable if they could have set up for a FG on 4th down and the clock running. We'll never know, but I'm curious to see how that would've played out.

I realize that they weren't going up against the '85 Bears defense, but this Patriots offense is starting to look like circa 2007 or 2010. Gronk, Edelman, LaFell, Vereen, Wright and this new find- Jonas Gray. If they can get Amendola and Tyms involved more.....WOW watch out!!

Who is being asked to play there 5 times? I could make up stuff to debate things too but I prefer to stay within the realm of possibility.

Also, it is the owners who want to expand, Roger is just driving the bus. But keep inventing things to pretend like it's all Roger to fuel that irrational hatred some of you have for him.
He WANTS to field a team over there.

Arthur Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons, says a NFL London franchise could be only “six or seven years away” because the league’s owners have been blown away with the “fabulous” support for the international series of American Football matches at Wembley.

Sceptics have suggested that a London franchise would not work because of the long flights and American-born players not wanting to come to work in the UK but Blank disagreed.

“I do think those problems are solvable,” he said. “We have teams now that are on the west coast, such as Seattle, San Diego and San Francisco who fly back to the east coast and play. It’s not as far as London and although the time difference is only three hours not five or six it is still a significant time difference.

“It’s not something that has been decided upon but, if a NFL team was based in London, they would probably play two to three games at home in a row and then two to three games away.

Remember a month ago when the "window closed", the team and Brady sucked? Things are sure different now, aren't they?

Can not wait for next week, I hope we can hang with the greatest quaterback ever. ;)

I have already started looking more at college games MORE than my Raiders simply because we will more than likely not win a single game and have the first pick in the draft. I have never suffered a more miserable season than this year. To have THE most cap space in the history of the NFL(don't know if it was true or an exaggeration, but it felt that way) and still field a sh!tty as hell team just sucks the life out of you. I am SERIOUSLY debating on not renewing my NFL ticket because for as much as I get a nice "you have been a very dedicated, on-time paying, long time customer" discount... It is STILL a waste of money.

I guess this is what I get for being a Heat fan and being spoiled the last four years.... :oldfrown:oldmad:oldmad:censored:facepalm:wtf2

My poor son, through the osmosis of being my offspring, became a Raider fan and by halftime, he looks at me every game and almost asks me the same question, before it was words,,,now it's with his looks:

"... are we gonna suck forever?!..."

Well, if you live in Miami, the bright side is the Dolphins may have a chance to make it to the playoffs. Although the Lions are suppose to eat them in 2 weeks. :wink:biggrin

I have never been a Dolphins fan.... IF anything, to hear the Dolphin fans(except Rey) gloat after they win...and want to almost commit suicide when they lose... is more than enough for me.

Salsa, as you know these things are cyclical. IMO, there are two adjectives that are the biggest compliment you can give a fan of any team........passionate and loyal. You have both those traits in spades. Hang in there, the Raiders will be back. How do I know this? I'm a fan of Boston sports. Yes, of late we've had our share of success, but boy did we suck for years! :)

Thanks for the encouraging words... GREATLY appreciated!

But, knowing how long you and Red Sox nation suffered... and those poor Cub fans and Cleveland everything fans...I gotta keep up the good fight. But man it sucks the big one when you pay for a service(though I have been very fortunate through the Direct TV customer retention team...damn that is a shameful plug.... LOL!) and hope for a quality product...it hurts. I can only imagine those poor season ticket holders.

We can build on a couple of players. It LOOKS LIKE we MAY have found our franchise QB in Carr. He is a kid who inherited this awful team, and there he was pissed off as all hell after fumbling the ball late in the 4th when it was still an close game. Most rooks would have just shut it down. This kid has some MOXY and I love it. Marcel Reese is one of the better fullbacks in the league, but we have dumb asses that have not clue how to use him. If Belichick had him, he would be all-world. On defense Sio Moore and Khalil Mack are gonna be very good to all-pros.

But crap... I am losing patients and years dude...

It wasn't just the Red Sox, the Patriots were HISTORICALLY bad in the late 80's-early 90's (thanks again for Marc Wilson :) ). As far as Carr goes, FWIW I believe he is the REAL DEAL. All you have to do is look back to yesterday to see how much the NFL has become a QB driven league. Time will tell.....
