I know that Torre is a very overrated manager. I was one of the few that did not like the Dodgers picking him up. I wish they kept Grady Little. Heck, I wish they kept Jim Tracy.Game 1 of Yankees/Tigers has been postponed. Game 1 will resume tomrorrow at the same time that Game 2 was going to start. It will also resume in the bottom of the 2nd inning.
Aside note, when they threw it to Tom Verducci interviewing Joe Torre, I believe David Wells went "AHHHHHH". I think there is bad blood between Wells and Torre.
Also, Game 2 will be Sunday at 3:07 pm so there will be no off day.
This really sucks with the two aces being pushed back.
I think Don Darling is dead on.......Fister and Nova will pick up the suspended game tomorrow, and Verlander-Sabathia will start Game 2 Sunday afternoon. With now no off day for travel, you could hypothetically bring back the two aces on three days rest for a potential Game 5 next Thursday night.

Of course Verlander will be fine, he's the best pitcher in baseball. What I mean is, the pressure is on the Tigers to win BECAUSE Verlander is pitching.
Jimbo said:My thoughts are, they both only threw 25-30 pitches, I would think they should both be able to come back in a day or two, it's not like they threw 80 pitches.
I would hope both would be able to come back on Sunday, but it doesn't look like Leyland's gonna do that.
Then again, if he's down 2-0 going into game 3, he may have too.
And, Leyland stated he refused to user Verlander on 3 days rest on top of that....
