2011 AL Central Thread

Did you see the pitch the guy gave him, you could have hit that one out, middle of the plate and high ....

That said, Yeah !

Yeah is right! But back in July that would have been a double-play ball. Right now some people are thinking this was a brilliant move by Leyland...I say, "Why they hell didn't he send him down to Toledo months ago?" :D

Regardless, I'll probably have a heart-attack should Inge get another hit this evening...but it will hurt so good. :)

Ya gotta wonder whats in the water down here in Toledo.... Tigers send struggling hitters and pitchers down every year and we fix them and send them back.

Wow, they are walking Peralta to get to the 2-2 Brandon Inge !

What kind of Luck does Brandon have tonight, hits a fly ball to left and the guy drops it.

For one night things falling apart for tribe, bad play in the outfield

Meanwhile, Doug Fister thinks it's Christmas .... Tigers have given him 7 runs, so far.

Tigers up 7-1

White Sox and Rangers tied at 2 going into the 7th.

I too will be amazed if Inge can hit for average and he will have to prove that he is no longer a guaranteed strike-out or double-play with runners on base. Of course, he can also screw-up the Tigers bid to win the division. Leyland is taking a huge gamble taking the bat out of the hands of a .280 hitting and having it to Inge. I may start biting my fingernails this weekend. :(

Well, No DP anyways, I'd say he's hitting for avg. tonight !
I have no idea what to expect with Inge being called up this evening. Well, let's hope Fister has his "A" game and Inge demonstates his hitting prowness.
Yup, did that !
I expect solid+ defense at 3B tonight.
I wasn't asking for much !

And I expect 2 strikeouts a double-play and a pop-out from 3B tonight. Let's hope you're right and I'm wrong!
You got 1 K, last at bat of the night.
:D

Unfortunately, I suspect you to be correct

Now that he's had a productive "Welcome back" night, lets see what happens in the next 5-10 games before we get all feeling good about INGE's offense.

Very cool, on fox sports plus each inning there will be a focus on a different position, wondering if we will get the view from the position

That was really cool. I ended up watching the entire game on the plus channel. There were some nice interviews with the guests and some interesting views you wouldn't normally see.

I had a feeling Fister was going to come out strong today but I have to admit I didn't see that coming from Inge at all. Maybe he really can hit lefties now but lets see a few more games before we decide.

Now lets keep it going tomorrow and get the sweep. If we can pull that off and get a loss from Chicago I will feel really good about our chances of making the playoffs.

For those that are having baseball withdrawls...
