Indians AND Tiger lose. No blood.

Indians offensive lineup will be shorthanded for the foreseeable future. Our top sluggers are down. Travis Hafner was scratched from the lineup for the second night in a row with pain in his right abdomen and Grady Sizemore already on the 15 day DL with a busted knee. Suddenly this team is hurting for offense. Get these boys healthy!

Last two tiger games they have had chances to score more runs but could not and Boston did when they needed to. A bit frustrating the last two games

I doubt Toronto would part with him while he's being productive.
Also, the last thing the Tigers need is another .250 hitter, thats his Career avg.
He also avg's 17 HR and 50 rbi's for his career.

Late bloomer?

Pitchers must be getting depressed, knowing that they have no offensive support anymore.

That said, losing 2 , b\possibly 3 to the Pirates is UNACCEPTABLE.

Our bullpen has been a train wreck lately. Of course I have a solution, put Phil Coke back in the pen, bring up one of the studs in waiting from the farm. Also, I'm done with Rayburn. Time to send him and his .200 average out of town. One half of a season hitting every year. 30 years old, and he isn't getting this done. Bye,bye. I would also sit Inge down for about a week too. Kelly can fill in while Mr. Inge decides if he is ever going to swing a bat at the level that is expected of a major league player.

And last but not least, I'm shopping for a new hitting coach. McClendon isn't getting the job done here. Case in point would be Curtis Granderson. Couldn't hit a lefty to save his life here.... Check his numbers in NY. Last I saw, he was tied for the league lead in HR's, and hitting left-handers just fine now. At any rate, this team has to be leading the league in stranded runners, as they did last season, so something has to change.

The Pirates have a decent team this year. McCutchen, Walker, and Overbay are playing good ball. Young guys are stepping up and even the pitching is holding it's own so far. A big plus is Clint Hurdle...he's instilled an excitement in these kids this year that's been missing the last several seasons. I know it's early still, but things seem to be a little different...so far.

Excellent pitching effort by Porcello; 1-hit shutout through 8-innings. Unfortunately, our bats remain quite...and you can't win many games with half the starting lineup hitting .200. I'm with Paul...time to Rayburn to pack his bags. On a side note, the Indians keep winning.

I've been calling for Coke back in the pen for about a month now ,....
Furbush came up this week when Thomas went down.
He could easily slide into the rotation, been pitching well on the farm.
I think they will stick with Coke at the moment as he's pitched well the last few times out.
Benoit finally had an outing that he didn't give up runs. Finally ...

Perry needs to go down as well.

IIRC, McClendon just started here this year, from Toledo. Could be wrong on that though.

I would put Ratburn on waivers if they can't get anything for him quickly.

Tigers are same as every other year, they play up to , or down to the competition.
They play well against the better teams (except for Boston last time in).
Play crappy against the teams they should handle easily.

For those that are having baseball withdrawls...
