Whatever happened to the joint proposal for a 49ers/Raiders shared stadium? There's no new stadium in LA yet,& I'm expecting the Chargers to move to any new one built.

$113 is a steal. It's ironic that the game that is the most expensive(Ravens-Texans) is the least interesting to me. The only team I want to see the Ravens play are the Broncos.

I think that 49ers ownership wanted nothing to do with Al Davis...now? Who knows...there is gentler Davis running things.

Probably because he was at the Titans for so long, I guess. I also think he would be good in Miami because Miami didnt quit. I doubt he would go to St. Louis. I mean with Sam Bradford, who's supposed to be a great qb, and the defense with Chris Long and James Laurenitus(sp) should win more than 2 games.

6 winning seasons in 17 years as a head coach. I just don't get why people think that Jeff Fisher is such a great coach.

He is known as getting the most out of players.. He has had some good teams, but has had a bunch of crappy ones as well.

he's a step up compared to anything we've had in a long time here. and the guy knows plenty about the game. something the dolphins organization doesn't have. bunch of headless chickens running things down here ........ big difference will be that he would have an owner here that will not be getting up in his business unlike in Tennessee.

While you were asleep, a few notes about coaching changes/rumors/negotiations. (as reported by Schefter)

-Texans DC Wade Phillips, who was scheduled to interview for the Buccaneers HC job Friday, told Tampa Bayt hat he was pulling out of process

-Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker turned down an offer from the Minnesota Vikings to remain in Jacksonville as the DC.

-Jacksonville plans to hire former Falcons QB coach Bob Bratkowski as its offensive coordinator, reuniting him with HC Mike Mularkey.

-Source said Jeff Fisher is making sure he has ideal situation. "This is not about money, not about negotiating. This is about winning."

Sounds like Fisher is channeling Charlie Sheen. Hope it ends better for him.

there are different sources saying different things. some say it looks like miami. they're just working on some details which would include fisher having authority over ireland or just getting rid of the guy all together. this would make sense since for some reason the fins have stopped interviewing head coaches while st.louis appears to have moved on. other sources say he may just wait until 2013 season to comeback.

at this point i'm not paying attention to all these rumors.

more chatter......

Buccaneers received permission to interview Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer for their head coaching job

Noooooooooo! They can't have him.

schefter reporting the same thing. fisher wanted to come here but couldn't agree on the structure of the organization.

yep. reports indicate ross wouldn't budge on ireland.fisher was willing to meet halfway on personnel control but ross wasn't. miami deserves was coming to them. many more years of being one of the worse teams in the NFL. F*** YOU ROSS!

Lol. Sorry buddy. I knew you wanted fisher. :(

i hope they go 0-16 next season. i'll be watching and enjoying the other teams.ticket sales will continue to plummet and the idiots running the fins will wonder why its happening. morons!

To me as an outsider looking in on the situation its seems that Ireland's personal decisions had more to do with the dolphins loses than sparano's coaching. He failed to address the quarterback position.

Jeff Fisher has ended a week of drama in St. Louis and Miami by deciding to cast his lot with the Rams as head coach.Fisher interviewed with Rams owner Stan Kroenke on Jan. 6 and toured Rams Park on Sunday. Interspersed were visits with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and tours of the facilities in Miami.Since then, reports have indicated that Fisher, who coached the Tennessee Titans for 16 seasons, teetered between the two choices. Some reports indicated that Miami offered more money. Others indicated that Fisher was uncomfortable with the Rams' lease situation. Fisher coached the Titans through their move from Houston to Memphis to Nashville and was said to be uncomfortable with the thought of a coaching through a second relocation saga.Fisher's resume includes a career record of 147-126 with the Oilers/Titans franchise, six playoff appearances and a loss to the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.After firing Steve Spagnuolo on Jan. 2, Rams owner Stan Kroenke indicated that he preferred a coach with previous NFL experience. Spagnuolo had been defensive coordinator for the Giants before taking the Rams' jobs.Spagnuolo's predecessor, Scott Linehan, likewise had been a coordinator before his promotion in 2006. The team's record in the past six years is 23-73, with no playoff appearances.
