To me as an outsider looking in on the situation its seems that Ireland's personal decisions had more to do with the dolphins loses than sparano's coaching. He failed to address the quarterback position.

yet the idiot owner continues to reward this guy as if he's actually done something relevant for the organization. i said it when this guy bought the team and for awhile i thought maybe i was wrong but no. seems like as long as this guy owns the dolphins we're doomed. DOOMED!!!!!!!

Jeff Fisher has ended a week of drama in St. Louis and Miami by deciding to cast his lot with the Rams as head coach.Fisher interviewed with Rams owner Stan Kroenke on Jan. 6 and toured Rams Park on Sunday. Interspersed were visits with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and tours of the facilities in Miami.Since then, reports have indicated that Fisher, who coached the Tennessee Titans for 16 seasons, teetered between the two choices. Some reports indicated that Miami offered more money. Others indicated that Fisher was uncomfortable with the Rams' lease situation. Fisher coached the Titans through their move from Houston to Memphis to Nashville and was said to be uncomfortable with the thought of a coaching through a second relocation saga.Fisher's resume includes a career record of 147-126 with the Oilers/Titans franchise, six playoff appearances and a loss to the Rams in Super Bowl XXXIV.After firing Steve Spagnuolo on Jan. 2, Rams owner Stan Kroenke indicated that he preferred a coach with previous NFL experience. Spagnuolo had been defensive coordinator for the Giants before taking the Rams' jobs.Spagnuolo's predecessor, Scott Linehan, likewise had been a coordinator before his promotion in 2006. The team's record in the past six years is 23-73, with no playoff appearances.

Sorry to hear rey. How long has Ireland been there, and what kind of dirt does he have on Ross?

What are the chances the Raiders hire back Chucky?

Any big names left in the coaching pool? Which teams are left seeking new coaches? Bucs, Fins and Raiders? Anyone else?

ireland has been there since January of 2008. i don't think he has dirt on ross but who knows lol.. Ross only cares about having a bunch of minority owners like marc anthony or jennifer lopez.

Raiders won't hire a big name, unless by big you mean a name containing a lot of letters....

It would be nice to get Mr. constantly-talk-from-the-end-of-one-play-until-the-start-of-the-next-play off Monday Night Football.

If I were a Raider fan, I wouldn't fret over who the new coach is. If you don't like who they hire this year, no worries...they'll hire someone else next year anyway!

I think with the new regime in charge those days could be over. I think there will be alot more stability in Oakland.

I think you're right, when was the last time they had a gm who had this much power and didn't have to constantly look over his shoulder?

Announced today Tim Tebow IS the starter for 2012 for the Denver Broncos.

I think that Tim Tebow is the only "known" QB coming back for the Broncos next season. they need to either draft a back up or pick up a free agent because Brady Quinn should be gone next season. Willis McGahee will be 31 next year & who knows if Knowshon Moreno will be at full strength or can even match what McGahee did this season. Brian Dawkins & Champ Bailey are getting old,& will Dawkins even be able to come back from his neck injury? The running game might fail the Broncos next season & their secondary needs rebuilding with replacements for both Dawkins & Bailey.

More & more, the Broncos making the playoffs seem like a fluke,& not a vision of the future. The Miami Dolphins(wildcat & all) have moved to Denver & I'm afraid the Broncos will both tease & disappoint like the Dolphins do.

Actually, Denver has a very good defense..what is showing more and more was how much the REAL story of Denver's success was NOT Tebow, but the Donkeys very good defense that kept them and won them games.

I say Tebow will be doing missionary work or a high school football coach in 4-5 years...

Where was that same defense the last 2 years? When they couldnt even break 5 wins?

The defense got shredded this weekend. Tons of wholes were found and poor coaching.

the packers only scored 10 more points then the Broncos did in there loss.. Does there offense suck to?

Broncos do have a lot of pieaces they need to add, work on the holes in defense (at the corner and the middle of the field) and work on offense, some TEs and a deep threat WR to help Thomas. You need big TEs who can block and also know how to catch/run to work this offense.

I know the one thing that hurt the Dolphins was lack of a stable QB. Their defense can pull it together too,I compare them to the Broncos because I'm afraid people will be asking "what happened to the [8-8] playoff Broncos team?" when they start to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory just like the Dolphins have been doing the past few years. With the exception of the Chargers game where Tebow came in in relief of Orton, the Broncos losses under Tebow weren't even close, only the wins.
