2011-12 NFL Season

Well, I know the chances are small, but I'm hoping that after a 6-10 season last year, the Detroit Lions will have a winning season this year. They ended 2010 with a 4 game winning streak and I think they'll continue that momentum especially if QB Matt Stafford stays 100% healthy throughout the whole season. What's more exciting is that they'll be on Monday night football for the 1st time in 10 years going against the Bears. I'll be optimistic and say the Lions will go at least 10-6 this year and that they'll get a playoff birth for the 1st time in 12 years.

I like the Lions ALOT. And I honestly think they are gonna put a scare in that "black and blue" division. Unless the Bears do some serious signing...I will say from an outsider looking in, they could be a 2nd place team at 9-7 or better.

10-6 ?

I would be thrilled with 10-6 ... realistically, if they make it to 9-7 they may make the playoffs and that record would be considered a VERY GOOD year.
10 wins and they will be the talk of the league !

Albert Haynesworth going to New England ...... for a 5th rd pick in 2013
Only 5 Million, the Redskins will pick up the rest

Belicick does it again! Ugh!!!

Somehow, someway, that coaching staff and environment WILL get the most out of Haynesworth. And for a 5th round pick, there's really not much to lose if he doesn't pan out. That D-Line will be awfully scary though when Wilfork and Haynesworth are lined up next to eachother. The Jets will have an extremely tough time running against those two!

Damn Patriots! LOL! See, Beli-jerk is different than Shanna-douche. Beli-jerk will hit the player where it REALLY hurts, the pocket. Shanna-douche HAD to show the whole world that he was in charge. In New England...everybody KNOWS who is in charge already.

Isn't it obvious that I want the Lions to be the talk of the league? Hey, I could've said that the Lions will go 16-0, but I didn't want you guys to think I was that crazy.

Did you catch all of that? A few updates from yesterday/ today.......

-Reggie Bush reached 2 year deal with Miami

-Jets are now $10 million under salary cap according to Schefter and Capologist. They are now the favorites to land Nnamdi

-AJ Green and Cinci reach deal

-Frank Gore and Chris Johnson both plan to hold out of camp to seek new deal

-Sidney Rice goes to Seattle for 5 years, up to $44 mill/18.5 guaranteed

-Plaxico Burress has scheduled meetings with Steelers and Giants

-Texans signed Matt Leinart

-Santonio Holmes resigned by Jets with a 5-year, $50 million/ $24 mill guaranteed! Wow! A bit much if you ask me. I wonder what Vincent Jackson will go for now?!

Like I said....the MOST of the JETS fans I know, personally and casually, are so obnoxious when it comes to the J-E-T-S that I pray for a miracle and he goes 49ers.

I can't even begin to think of how scary their secondary would be with Nnamdi AND Revis! The opposing offenses won't be able to complete a pass for more than 10 yards against those two!

Haynesworth to the pats, just makes sense doesn't.

Bush to the dolphins, interesting move via trade

I have a strnage feeling that this move HAD to be done because they are getting NO WHERE in the Orton trade because I think Denver just refuses to give him up for anything less than a 3rd pick.

...not a Dolphin fan living in Miami, but you can clearly hear AND see, "the natives are getting restless"...

It does for a 5th round draft pick. And on paper, he'll line up next to Vince Wilfork. That is ONE solid line all of a sudden right there!

Seems like all the issue guys go to the pats and good things happen for them

The Jets can add Asomugha AND a Deion Sanders in his prime. They still need to upgrade their pass rush from the DL before they can have a really dominating defense.

Yeah, wasn't one of his biggest issues that he didn't want to play the nose in the 3-4? Is he going to play end alongside Woolfolk?

The Patriots play a lot of 4-3. Did it last year and had Wilfork playing end. Now you can play 4-3 in Nickle and put Haynesworth and WILFORK in the middle. For a 2013 5th round pick this move could be great, if Albert gets his head out of his ass and wants to work and play hard. It is all up to him.
