Evidently Jim Irsay is making a game out of the hiring of Indy's new coach. From his Twitter:

Predict new Indianapolis Colts Head Coach, win 2 Super Bowl Tics! 1 guess only,u must guess by midnight tonight EST, Abby's hatpick! GOOD LUCK

Bradshaw was clearly moving backwards when the ball came out

Whistle was blown WAY too early. Look at the video again and pay attention WHEN the whistle was blown...not WHY. The ball is coming lose when they met on the hit because the 2nd defender(1st hit slowed him down, but still moving forward) had his hands on the ball as soon as he hit him. The ball was already out when the whistle sounded....and not just sounded, the ref went bananas with the whistle.

LMAO! Even the video description itself from the website tells you: "Find out if forward progress was called too soon."

Yes it does. I see this title: "Bradshaw's controversial near-fumble"

If anyone has seen Michael Crabtree, please inform authorities. He was a complete no show. And to think, he was SUCH a hot commodity coming out of college.

LMAO!! Glad you mention "the invisible man". Funny how when the team COULD have used him... he was nowhere to be found. Some team USED there so-called #1 WR when the games count.

Thank you HD for bring that up.

MY opinion says the whistle was blown too early. UNFORTUNATE, because that would have changed the game... but it is what it is... a lucky break for the Giants.

I might agree if they had him simply stopped, and held up, but Bradshaw was clearly moving backwards when the ball was pried loose. In this case, it's the correct call. I'm still bothered by the official leaving his spot. What if that was a crucial spot that had to be measured?? They would have to go to a dropped bean bag...

I have a tough time with this because I think the play should not be whistled UNTIL HE IS DOWN. Way too many times, the player is stopped in his tracts...ONLY to have the runner make a fancy move and picks up a bunch of extra yards and/or scores a TD.

Ed Hochuli sure likes to hear himself talk....

I found an example from each of the referees from Sunday's games when their review upheld the original call. Can you tell who the attorney is??

In the Patriots/Ravens game, the announcement by Alberto Riveron:
After further review, the ruling on the field stands.

In the Niners/Giants game, Ed Hochuli:
To reverse on replay, there must me uncontroverted evidence that the ruling on the field is wrong. In other words, you have to be certain. Here, the ruling on the field stands. It is a touchdown. The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty will be enforced on the kickoff.

OK... I want the Giants to win and have Victor Cruz, the 1st Puerto Rican to EVER be voted MVP in a Super Bowl. But, knowing our luck, Cruz can grab 12-15 catches for 150-180 yards and 3 TDs...and they would give it to Eli.
:tsk::tsk:

of course!!!!! :p

The Giants-Patriots rematch will mark the fifth time the same teams have met in multiple Super Bowls.

Cowboys-Steelers: met 3 times, with Steelers winning two of the three
49ers-Bengals: met 2 times, with Niners winning both
Dolphins-Redskins: met 2 times, with each team winning a game
Cowboys-Bills: met 2 times (back to back years), with Cowboys winning both

Of course, the Patriots have a vast array of offensive weapons & the Giants [with their running game not really performing to par, only] have Cruz,Nicks ,& Manningham.

You have never officiated a sporting contest, have you?

Now I understand why you are so upset about the no fumble call, you don't know the rules!

Stop me if you heard this one before.
Giants targeted Kyle Williams because of his concussion history
Giants targeted Kyle Williams because of his concussion history - NFL - Sporting News

It sounds distasteful, but if you view a football game like a war or a battle,it is a sound tactic. Football players have always tried to take out the other teams' best player.

SO does that mean they went headhunting...? You ain't gonna get a concussion by getting hit around the legs...
