I'm terrified about the Patriots this year. If they make it to the Super Bowl I will be shocked.
CLEAR! <zzzzzzttttt>

Terrible whistle by the refs. They blew the whistle before the play was really completed...SHOULD have been a fumble and 49ers ball.
Of course the league is going to back up the decision, but the fact of the matter is that all TD's are supposed to be reviewed. Especially the really close ones. Just wondering why this one wasn't. Especially considering the stakes.
I never understood that call, if you run it in only the ball needs to cross the line why not on a catch.
I'm not a fan of either team- Pats division rival, Giants beat us in SB XXV and have owned usrcetly.
Convince me which side to root for in 2 weeks.
I think he has become MORE elite than his older brother. Man, I WANNA like the Giants in this Super Bowl BECAUSE of Eli and Cruz being the 1st Puerto Rican to either play or either have a prominent role on the team... but there are SOOOO many douche bag Giant fans that kill that good vibe.

Yes, because Boston fans are the picture of civility....
Because it WASN'T ruled a TD. The automatic review is only triggered when points are scored. I think he did have two feet down and it should have been a TD, but I only saw the highlights on SportsCenter and they didn't linger on it. I think they REALLY need to tweak the replay system this offseason as the calls have been horrible.... My suggestions:
1: Unlimited challenges if you keep winning them, but two wrong ones and you don't get any more (to discourage overuse)
2: Ditch the replay official review within 2 minutes and OT. Bad calls should be reversed, whether or not the replay official is quick enough on the trigger or not..... Keep the red flags in the coaches hands throughout the game...
3: Enough with this wanting to stay with the call on the field. You aren't protecting the refs, you are exposing them to criticism hotter than the surface of the sun. If he screws up and the call is properly reversed, his bad call is forgotten. If it costs a team the game, it is talked about for years, along with a seething hatred for the NFL brand for allowing the injustices to continue.
4: Broadcasters can help make this happen by blasting the refs when they make a bad call. Shrugging it off just allows the commissioner cover to allow the flawed process to continue uncorrected.
I thought it was too fast to tell if he had control...but once you slow it down... then you can see...catch, 1 then 2 feet and immediately after the 2nd foot planted... ball popped lose.
WOW......on my TV, it clearly showed the ball pop out a nanosecond before the left foot came down. Must be my silver and blue colored glasses.
Either way, Pats fans better thank their lucky stars. All part of the game though.WOW......on my TV, it clearly showed the ball pop out a nanosecond before the left foot came down. Must be my silver and blue colored glasses.
Early line for the Super Bowl favors the Pats by 3/3.5. Surprising especially considering the injury to Gronk.
Nope, his forward progress had clearly stopped.
