Besides his rookie year, Eli and the Giants have NEVER had a sub-.500 record.
There is the only man in the modern class of "elite" quarterbacks that has won more than one Super Bowl. Drew Brees hasn't. Aaron Rodgers hasn't. Even big brother Peyton Manning hasn't. Eli has a chance at two.
Just recently, he set an NFL record for most playoff road victories with 5 (Super Bowl's don't count as they're considered "neutral".)
Like it or not, Eli is Elite. It's no longer up for debate.

Too bad the Colts were still playing in the RCA Dome in 2006. Otherwise, the Patriots could be potentially exorcising two demons in one whack (2006 AFCCG loss to the Colts after leading 21-3, and the 2007 Super Bowl loss to the Giants to spoil their undefeated season). Obviously, SB 46 is being played in the Colts new digs- Lucas Oil Stadium.

I think he has become MORE elite than his older brother. Man, I WANNA like the Giants in this Super Bowl BECAUSE of Eli and Cruz being the 1st Puerto Rican to either play or either have a prominent role on the team... but there are SOOOO many douche bag Giant fans that kill that good vibe.
One question that I haven't seen brought up anywhere: Why wasn't the Lee Evans catch reviewed? It looks like he got two feet down in the end zone, then the ball was slapped away. It was close, and should've been reviewed.

PS. Tom Coughlin, the coach on the hot seat every single year. Well, he has won 7 road playoff games, tied with Tom Landry for most in history.

You're right, it should have been reviewed. But I've watched the play ad nauseum, and the ball was coming out of his hands RIGHT before his left foot hit the ground. Good call.
Of course the league is going to back up the decision, but the fact of the matter is that all TD's are supposed to be reviewed. Especially the really close ones. Just wondering why this one wasn't. Especially considering the stakes.
Yeah... I mean they take longer for more OBVIOUS TDs than this one....I too thought he had 2 feet down...they barely showed any replays...
