I asked you to produce a 3 loss team that would stand up against VT other than any that they have played in the last 3 years... what's so hard about that? Your choice of Alabama was a givin and I knew that was going to be your #1 choice considering they are at the top of that 3 loss list. Now, just going by what you've said so far you can't pick any other so I'll leave this discussion at that. Thanks!
I just asked him to pick a team with 3 losses currently that VT hasn't played in the last 3 years.. it wasn't a hard request. I feel that at least at 3 years you exclude many of the current players that may have played for either team in the last 3 years so it was a fair request. I guess it was also a hard request when you have Alabama beating VT in last years season opener on your mind which is a unfair clouding of the mind much like you have when you pick a jury in the same city someone was murdered in.
You don't think Harbaugh could be competitive in the recruiting wars ?
He's not doing to bad at the moment with USC and Oregon in the recruiting landscape.
I agree, you need a guy that will do that however it will take 4-5 years before ANYONE can get their claws dug deep enough to do damage against top teams. Best be prepared for a few major down years coming up for Miami that's for sure.
As wouldSouth Carolina 9-3, would destroy Virginia Tech.

Did you not read my post where I also said 1/2 of the SEC could beat VT? I guess you only want to see what you want to see. I also think that Iowa and Penn State could take out VT if given the chance.
Why? They still have an EXTREMELY talented team and young team made up of mostly sophs and juniors. The problem with this team was the COMPLETE and TOTAL lack of communication between the offense and defensive coordinators and the headcoach. The were almost never on the same page after hearing everything I have heard behind the scenes. With a LEGIT "Canes coach"...this team can win the ACC and be in a BCS bowl NEXT year.
EDIT: IF the Gruden rumor is true....things can be VERY different at The U next year....
Report: Jon Gruden to leave ESPN and coach Miami | National Football Post
As would
Arkansas, Alabama, Auburn, and LSU. The worst thing about this season was Boise St beating VT and getting some kind of credibility. VT?? for Gods sake they lost the JMU!!
The only real conference is the SEC. The rest are just filler and hasbeen ACC teams..
He's stipulating it has to be a 3 loss team for some reason, maybe he KNOWS that any 0 or 1 loss team would beat them.
Personally, I think TCU would beat them.
I didn't give that stipulation..read back and you will see that.
At this point guys.... I'm looking beyond the 1st week in which VT played 2 games in less than 5 days apart. IMO they are 10 wins straight and not looking back...forward to win the ACC and the Orange bowl is the only concern. Others can rub it in or speculate all they wish about past games but I was at those games we lost, I was at all the home and a few away games we won... I've seen the team up close and meet several players and they have alot of heart and are doing the best they can to overcome the disaster some call a start. I will continue to pull for the team no matter how much trash is talked about them..they are a top notch team and so far they've showed it since Sept 12th! Go Hokies!
Lmao, just caught up on the thread.
I dare you to pick any team that could beat bama this year. ANY team!
It has to be a team that hasnt already beat us, or one that might beat us.
It is not a hard request. And just for fun, lets only include teams that we have not played for three years.
Classic
Definitely IOWA, but I would not be so sure of Penn State.
True, it's not like VT's losses were all 1-A teams.I pick ......
New England Patriots.
You never said it had to be a college team.
Hahaha, ain't that the truth.OK Penn State may have been a reach but I do think they would give them one heck of a game. They seem to normally have one good half per game. If they could put 2 of them together they would have a very good team and could compete with almost anybody out there.
