2010 NCAA Football Season

I'm going to guess and say Schiano from Rutgers will take the job this time.

The other possibility..would be Mario Crystobal ...who played OL for the U, has a good rapport with the best and fertile area around....the stated of Florida. And, he has done an amazing job with the FIU program.

Just heard that UM Offered RRod a new contract, three years 8M.

LOL
you like Michigan being in misery don;t you?

I'm sorry, but there is NO WAY you can compare Cooper to RR...Coop actually won a lot of Big Ten games, and some bowl games too; RR just plain leaves his entrails on the sidelines of every Big Ten opponent.

But Coop was the worst Buckeye coach we had that I can remember in the last 50 years.... :)

Cooper just couldn't beat Michigan. That was his one downfall.

That's odd...I always thought it was Woody Hayes. Offhand, I wouldn't want my coach named after an erection...but I guess that's why he was the head coach. I gotta give him credit for his snazzy wardrobe, and throws a wicked sucker punch from the sidelines to boot. I got a million of 'em. :p

And what team did VTech play 4 days later? JMU.. Thats like taking the week off for most schools..

Its still a football team you have to beat I agree, but things happen. You and others can keep on throwing JMU out there all you want but with 10 straight wins since then its now a thing of the past. VT is on a roll to the Orange Bowl a BCS Bowl Game!

Not a good fit. They need a major guy that can win the recruiting war in the state.

I agree, you need a guy that will do that however it will take 4-5 years before ANYONE can get their claws dug deep enough to do damage against top teams. Best be prepared for a few major down years coming up for Miami that's for sure.

No one takes your program seriously, it's just the school the dog killer came from. Boise whipped your ass, which was basically a home game for your turkeys. The reason you and your school doesn't want a playoff is because you wouldn't be able to end your season with a win, ever. Your team has never had the coaching or talent to win a national title, and never will.

Go Noles (puked in my mouth a little bit)
That about the Dog comment is just stupid.... VT HAD NO CONTROL over what a player does when he leaves the school.. Man your just a moron for even saying that sorry but its the truth your comments now don't hold much water with me at all. As for Boise, they didn't whip VT sure they won but go back and watch the game - hell they had to take the next week off to recover from that battle. I would LOVE to see a playoff, I'm sure VT would hold their own, as for coaching talent do you even follow CFB???? Beamer is now one of the top winning coaches in the country in all time, I swear its like talking to a child you are.. I'm done with you.

They will only get a spot in the a BCS game because somebody form that conference has to go. If it wasn't for that they wouldn't even come close to getting into one.

They rang off 10 straight wins to now be likely ranked in the BCS around 11th or 12th after tonight, that speaks HUGE for the program after that horrible 0-2 start, not many teams can or have done that.

So with what you are saying the Big 10 is even that much better than the ACC or VT. They have 3 teams with just 1 loss and are ranked in the top 10 in the BCS. Sorry but there are to many 2 loss teams to call any of them great. There are even some 3 loss teams that I would pick to beat VT or any ACC school.

Take that LSU

80 TD pass by Mallet to end the half
That was hard to take, I must say. Karnel Hatcher, LSU's safety, should've gotten Arkansas MVP for taking out the LSU corner on that play and having allowed that long touchdown pass earlier. :) Thought we had a chance there for a while early in the second half, but offense went back to same old habit ... sputter, sputter.

Anyway, just got back from Thanksgiving. Congratulations Hawgs! Enjoy the Sugar Bowl and take it easy on those Bucknuts...they're a bit sensitive. ;) :D And congratulations Auburn for an undefeated season against some of the toughest teams in the country.

Been a fun season! SEC football...can't beat it. Look out next season! :up

I'm sure anyone could speculate any one team beating another on any givin sunday... can't stop you there. I do feel though that VT along with a few other 2 loss teams are better than a few 1 loss teams at this point when you go back looking at stats and how well they have performed on the field in face of major opposition or just plain old bad luck. I love Wisc, awesome team and they certainly deserve to be up there in the polls.. currently 4th in the AP but IMO they should be ahead of TCU after the way they have played in recent weeks. I would even put MichSt ahead of Ohio St just cause they beat Wisc. But I have to ask.. with your comment about 3 loss teams that could beat VT, which 2 would you pick right now and why considering that you've watched every game all the way through that VT has played cause I can certainly promise you I have...and lets not include any team they have played in the last 3 years to avoid some sort of comparison from recent action.

Right off the top of my head I would say that Alabama would take VT to the wood shed if they were to play. The sad part of how the BCS will work is that it looks like Michigan State will miss the cut for a BCS bowl game. On you point of VT performing in the face or major opposition. The problem looking at VT schedule is that they really did not play anybody. They should have won every one of their games this year and it did not happen.

Sorry Alabama don't count.. I said this:

I can't argue about winning each game, however GT, Miami and UNC were all ranked to start the season and are very good teams regardless of how they have faired this year.. the ACC is just like other Conf's they beat up on each other and it showed... VT went undefeated in the ACC a stat that can't be ignored or mocked.

I really don't care what you said. I stated before that that there were 3 loss teams that VT would not stand a chance against. So Alabama has three losses this year and I still say they are 100% better of a team than VT is. Heck if I was a betting man, I would put money that most of the SEC would beat VT. Pull VT out of the ACC and I would bet that they would have a hard time winning any other conference.

Why does Alabama NOT count ?

I asked you to produce a 3 loss team that would stand up against VT other than any that they have played in the last 3 years... what's so hard about that? Your choice of Alabama was a givin and I knew that was going to be your #1 choice considering they are at the top of that 3 loss list. Now, just going by what you've said so far you can't pick any other so I'll leave this discussion at that. Thanks!

I just asked him to pick a team with 3 losses currently that VT hasn't played in the last 3 years.. it wasn't a hard request. I feel that at least at 3 years you exclude many of the current players that may have played for either team in the last 3 years so it was a fair request. I guess it was also a hard request when you have Alabama beating VT in last years season opener on your mind which is a unfair clouding of the mind much like you have when you pick a jury in the same city someone was murdered in.

You are acting like a team that has high "pre-season" rank is a good team? And you just called someone else a moron?

Pre-season ranks are just WAGs, nothing more, nothing less.
