2010 NCAA Football Season

You think VT will get a BCS bowl? Huh? Maybe the Toilet Bowl.....
If they beat NC State or FSU in the ACC championship game, then they're in the Orange Bowl. If they lose though, then it won't be BCS as there's no way the ACC gets 2 teams in. They've pretty much reeked this year. They've made the Big East look good, and the MWC look awesome.

My money is on the 'noles being in the Orange Bowl. At least there loses have been respectable, and I think the Wolf Pack will stumble allowing FSU to win the division.

You should be an expert on who plays there, right? IIRC, doesn't your team have an automatic invite there? :D

Am picking Miami for ACC, now that we lost our QB for the season.

Now there goes that southern lack of intelligence shining sunny!! And you wonder why the stereotype? :D

Hard to say where the Buckeyes might be this year, guess it depends on how many above them lose, and how they finish the year. Plenty of football left, I'd say.

Not a word about last night's game? Still can't believe Edsall went for that late 4th and 1 (though it was the right call).

It turned out to be a winning call, but I wouldn't say it was the "right" call. Edsall's arse was lucky. If Pitt would've stopped them then kicked an easy fieldgoal to win, he would've looked dumber than Les Miles at a clock-keepers convention.

Must see games this weekend:

12:30 PM Kansas State-Missouri Fox Sports Net
4:00 PM San Diego State-TCU Versus
7:15 PM Mississippi State-Alabama ESPN 2
7:30 PM Stanford-Arizona State FS Arizona
7:30 PM Oregon-California Versus
8:00 PM USC-Arizona ABC

Enjoy!

OkieState 304-1 plays Texas the nation's most skitzophrenic team. Can beat anyone away or loose (and lose also) to StMary's of the plains at home.:D

Really? a Toilet Bowl? LOL REALLY?!? Yeah the way VT is playing they will be 10-2 going into the Orange Bowl a .....wait for it (BCS BOWL GAME) They are the best team in the ACC.

Wow, the ACC has a few really good teams this year some of which VT has already beatin. They had 2 losses one of which was to BSU by only 3 points whom is a top ranked team... a very close game. The JMU loss was upsetting for sure but it happens, just as Michigan had one a few years ago. I'm hoping for FSU to meet up with VT cause we've already beatin NC St, been there done that. But the ACC is far far better than the Big East and MWC, no idea why so much hate towards a conference that loves to beat up on each other more so than the others. My money is on VT in the Orange bowl... FSU just doesn't have the fire power that VT has whom already as I said beat NC ST whom beat FSU.... there ya go!

It was not the "right" call. He just got lucky.

Horse feathers.

Scenarios:
1) What happened - 1st down essentially seals the game. Your runner already has about 200 yds rushing against that D.
2) Punt - give it to the offense that just shredded your D without issue, down the field. Probably lose.
3) Don't convert- same as 2, though losing more likely.

Maybe in a 3 pt or bigger game, I swing to "crazy call." But as-was, it's was only 1/2-way between Les Miles and Bear Bryant. :)

I am afraid to watch. We should have been serving Bevo burgers for the last 3 years, but have been left chewing tumbleweeds. On paper the Pokes should kill but on the field who knows which Texas team will show up. Guess we will find out at 7pm Sat for most of the nations viewing pleasure.

The ACC is 0-9 against ranked opponents this season. (0-10 if you count Kansas who should be ranked around 94).:D

How is that? VT beat a ranked NC St team about a month ago, NC St beat a ranked #16 team FSU, FSU beat a ranked #13 Miami team and a UVA beat a ranked #22 Miami team

It's no surprise that for some reason this season none of the ACC teams have beaten a ranked out of conference opponent but I think that will soon change once the bowls fire up, seems a few of the ACC's teams are getting really good after fixing a few issues from early season.

Really ???

The ACC beats up on thier own teams more that any other conference ?

The SEC or Big Ten come to mind ?

Ohio State would still be ranked #1 had they not played one poor half against Wisconsin.

However, none of them are still ranked.
I'm guessing that , that is how he was looking at it.

I don't look at it that way, if they were ranked when they played one another, it's more important that how they are later in the year, but it also means the team has not played as well down the stretch.

This goes back to what I said bout the conf beating each other up... and yeah the ACC is different than the SEC and Big Ten - I really can't explain why since each have their differences. Just a wild season once again in the ACC.

I can explain it. You are just a fan of your conference and team with blinders on. There are many others in the same boat as you around here.

For a conference to have a record, regardless of that record, it would be against non conference foes. The math would be a bit strange if one were to include in conference win/ losses as apart of that conferences win/loss record.:D
