You crack me up. The clock had run out when that kid took off his helmet. Same in the LSU/Tenn game. As far as the player knows, the game is over. Taking a helmet off then out of disgust or elation is no different than players running onto the field, fans throwing things, or anything anyone does when they think the game has ended, no matter how you spin it. To my knowledge, no ref has ever made a chickensh*t call like that and never will. Only sore losers, pseudo-sports analysts, or jealous fans of other teams would bring BS like that up. It' ridiculous. And I'm sure if you look for it there's footage somewhere of one of your precious Hokies doing the same thing.Ohh I'm saying scoring more against them than any other team speaks alot for VT's offense and for about the first 3quarters of the game fans including myself thought we had a chance which was more than I figured to begin with. That Tenn game was weird..almost as weird as that Tenn vs LSU game this year with similar response that should have had a penalty against the other team for Tenn to win. Remember the Alabama player #62 that took his helmet off and threw it to the ground to celebrate before the play was dead and the Bama players picked up the ball to run with it? Well that's a instant penalty for unsportsmanlike that wasn't but should have been called.. same went for LSU players this year but wasn't. I'm sure ya remember and it doesn't really matter now but stuff like this has to stop and the Ref's need to make it stop by throwing flags.
Time 2:03 shows it up close:
And speaking of your Hokies, the rest of us may take your attempts to pump them up more seriously when they actually "win" a game against one of the big boys from the SEC, Big10, Big12, or PAC10.
