2010 NBA Playoffs

If LeBron is having issues in the spotlight now, when the game matters most, I can only imagine what it'd be like having to pass a statue of Michael Jordan every day on the way to work.

Chicago is the new chic destination ESPN is now predicting, but I still say he stays. He has unfinished business. If he leaves now, it says a lot about his character and further reinforces those who say he didn't give his all or (and I use this term lightly), "quit".

Anything is possible, but Chicago would really surprise me. The Jordan spotlight still shines large there, and if Lebron gave the kind of performance he gave last night in a big game in a Bulls uniform...oh my. It could get real ugly really quickly in the Chicago media.

I agree I think he'll stay, but I'm less sure of that than I was a week ago. But if he does leave, Chicago would be a very interesting situation, to say the least.

That team needs some changes and their is very little room in the cap to maneuver. THAT TEAM is not gonna win the NBA championship.

To say he did not leave it out on the court is ridiculous. Are you folks THAT spoiled to think 27 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists is an OFF NIGHT?! REALLY??!! SERIOUSLY?! IF had not seen the game and did not know the score and they told you LBJ had THAT kinda of night, you would have said, 'damn, that is one hell of a game!'

That's exactly the point. Relying on statistics to tell you the story is foolish, you have to watch the game. If you want to think Lebron had one hell of a game last night, you go right ahead.

As HD stated, most Cleveland fans were waiting for the Lebron James they know and love to show up, and he never did. The Lebron James who won games on sheer will. The Lebron James who took over when it mattered most.

Last night it was like we were watching a ghost or something.

I think he and alot of the players lost ALL confidence in Mike Brown. Here is the team down by 9 with less than 90 seconds left in the game....Brown SCREAMING to foul...and no one even looked at the bench and they paid absolutely NO ATTENTION to him whats so ever. IF LBJ comes back.....Brown will NOT.

This is a terrific point I neglected to mention. It was like everyone was following Lebron's lead, and they all threw in the towel at the same time.

NOBODY is a bigger Bird fan than me (my favorite all time athlete.....#2 is in another stratosphere), BUT Bird had McHale and Parish. Magic had Kareem and Worthy. MJ had Pippen and Grant. LeBron has no one CLOSE to those guys............

BINGO! IF the same team comeback.....they wil somewhere around 55-60 games...and meet the same fate.

The have a HUGE problem in the middle, there is no consistancy at the point and the 2nd best player and the most consistant guy...comes off the bench. The head coach is known for defense, but I heard and read that some of their offensive rotations were puzzling and just plane dumb at the very least.

He played hard, but like HD said, there was some distraction there.

You CANNOT sit there and tell me he did not play hard.....

To me, in my eyes, it almost looks like he sensed a bad night...and he wanted to see if his team had his back. And only ONE did...and it was only for a half. The CELTICS litterally applied the "Jordan Rules" on him....harrass the crap out of Lebron....which they did....and do not let anyone ELSE beat you....which is EXACTLY what they did.

Bingo.

If a blind person read the stat line through braille, he would've thought LeBron had a great game and series. For those of us that can see though, this was not the case. I know LeBron. The LeBron that showed up in this series was not the LeBron I know.

One more comment on the handshake.

Oddly enough, the post game bodily language reflected the way LeBron went about this series. When he lost last year, he was furious. He went straight to the locker room in denial of what just transpired. The Cavs beat-reporter later reported that he saw him hours afterwards sitting by his locker with tears streaming down his face!

This year? He hugs and slaps ass with every Celtic, even the red headed step child (Brian Scalabrene)! Then, he high-fives the Celtic fans on the way to the locker room and rips off his jersey?!

I'm all for comradery and sportsmanship, but ironically enough, the postgame response was so starkly different from last year, that it further reinforces those questioning his aggressiveness, submission and lack of will.

One last thing about Rasheed Wallace:

During last night's presser, he was wearing the cap of- all teams- the Philadelphia Flyers!!

He's been taking heat for this here this morning, and I can see why.

Wearing a Yankees cap RIGHT NOW would have caused less of an uproar.

So now it was in the WHOLE SERIES?

And one more thing....when they were up 2-1 after that ass whippin' they gave the Celtics in Boston...why didn't you mention this then?! WHY, because it all went down hil after they were plastered in Cleveland....NOT BEFORE.

Statistics can only show you so much, but if you are going to mention Lebron's stat line, you cannot leave out his nine turnovers, which were disastrous to Cleveland's chances. ;)

I understand that, but IMO, that was not a very cool thing to do in the city you're employed in..........................

Totally agree, Bill. If Rasheed is such a huge Flyer fan, he can wear the hat in his house...though he probably didn't. ;)
