2010 NBA Playoffs

What you are saying is he was off when he had 35 points 7 rebs and 7 assists in the Game 1 win??!

is THAT what you are saying?
Yes. I was watching the game with my wife and saying just that. I was speculating that his elbow was hurt worse than the team was saying.....

As a matter of fact, HDMM and I discussed in a PM how Lebron was "off" after game 2. We're not just saying this now.......it was obvious to anyone who has watched the Cavs this year.

...thats exactly the way i saw it and feel about it. i was very disappointed especially with what i saw with a little over a minute left in the game when the whole team gave up and didn't even try to foul. just gave up. you were down 9 points, not 20. ...

1:17 LeBron James bad pass (Rasheed Wallace steals) 85-94
0:59 Paul Pierce misses 25-foot three point jumper
0:58 Kevin Garnett offensive rebound
0:33 Paul Pierce misses 21-foot jumper
0:33 Mo Williams defensive rebound
0:16 Anderson Varejao misses 25-foot three point jumper
0:14 Kevin Garnett defensive rebound
0:00 End of the 4th Quarter

The Celtics used up 18 seconds before Pierce launched a three, and then twenty-five more seconds (?) before Pierce shot a two as the 24 second clock expired.

Cripes, I've seen Reggie Miller score 30 points in that much time.

I understand your aggravation. In 2007, LeBron wore a Yankee hat to Jacob's Field when the Indians opened against the Yankees in the first round of the playoffs. A lot of people were turned off by that too.

It's just that Wallace has been taking a lot of heat this season in Boston (and rightfully so) because of his apathetic attittude. He goes out last night and has himself a very good second half, and suddenly you hear "Sheed" chants coming from the Garden crowd.

IMO, his wearing the Flyers cap last night, was his way of flipping off the Boston sports fans.............

Its not a trade Sabre. IF...and it is still an IF....IF he leaves, Cleveland will have no say so where he goes. And what Noah said has nothing to do with business.
:up Just look at antawn jamison. came from a team that hated and said many things against lebron yet they are great teamates now. one thing has nothing to do with the other

yep no shock there. never liked the guy with the pistons nor the blazers because of his attitude and big ass mouth.

Sorry, but I am not going to let my employer tell me who I can and cannot be fans of.

Never said anything about employers

I'm talking about sticking to the fans that pay good money to watch you play. And you play like a DOG for the majority of the season

IF you guys say so.

But you guys are spoiled. The guy has the ENTIRE city on his shoulders...forget the team...THE CITY. ...and he is being ripped as if he let the team down. He did not. His lack of a decent side kick....lack of a any TEAM DEFENSE...and the total loss of respect and trust in the head coach. NOT TO MENTION, he was playing injured....more than likely more than he lead on.

With ALL that said, IF he was healthy...it would have been the same outcome. Boston had BETTER starting 5 minus 1....a BETTER bench and a better MORE BATTLE tested coach.

You guys are killing me....

So...Game 1...he has 35pts-7rebs-7assist ....and he is OFF?
...Game 2...he has 24-7-7....and he is off?
...game 3...he has 38-7-7...and he is ON?
...game 4..he has 22-9-9 ...he is off....hell, I will give you that one.
...game 5..he has 15-6-7...he is off, I can give you that one too.
...game 6..he has 27-19-10.....and he is off?

A statement to this kid's talent - The numbers are astounding, but he played badly. More turnovers than FG's made. After the game he looked like he couldn't wait to get out of Cleveland,(I know that physically he was in Boston), almost like he was glad it was over, and he's ready to start with another team.

Another thought - Mike Brown is history.

I'm not going to pin this series on LeBron, after watching a couple of these games, it's painfully evident that he has absolutely NO supporting cast. Only one player on that roster who could play for me, Varejou.

i agree paul. and i also think brown is probably out too as you mentioned. for sure you can't put all the blame on lebron for this early exit but he sure has to take part of the blame.

Dan Gilbert will be holding a press conference at 2:30PM.

Man oh man....I thought it was the Cavs year.

I think Salsa has a good point here..........I was actually thinking about this very thing after the game 5 blowout.

It reminds me of the Red Sox 86 year quest to win the World Series. It was a burden that cost players, managers and GM's alike their jobs!

That being being said, NO city in this great country of ours deserves a championship more than Cleveland!

If HD and Sky are the sample of fan loyalty that that city represents, I hope they get one soon!

Here's an interesting tid-bit that I almost forgot....

Our starting rotation in the playoffs, well that was the very FIRST time those 5 have ever played together!!!! Think about that for a moment.

Remember the first few games of the season, where we looked horrible when we were trying to learn how to play with the new guys (Anthony Parker and Shaq)? It took a while to gel, right? Well, same concept here...

If you remember, Shaq was injured for a good portion of the final two months. It was then we got Antwan Jamison. Until that point, JJ Hickson was starting. Then, the playoffs came around and we inserted Shaq back into the starting 5, Hickson to the bench and Jamison and Shaq were on the court, playing together for the first time ever. This might help explain being "out of sync".

I have a strong belief that if Mike Brown could do these playoffs over again, he'd rethink his starting rotation....

Report: Cavaliers dismiss Brown

ESPN.com news services

The Cleveland Cavaliers, fresh off a six-game, second-round loss to the Boston Celtics, have fired coach Mike Brown, SI.com reported Friday, citing two unnamed league sources.

Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert was scheduled to address the media at 2:30 p.m. ET, though specifics of what he was to address beyond the team's ouster from the playoffs were undetermined.

General manager Danny Ferry was to be made available at 4 p.m.

ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher was told by a team source, when asked about the report, that it was "not accurate."

Brown is a year removed from winning the NBA's coach of the year award and three years removed from leading the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals.

He has gone 272-138 as coach for the Cavaliers over five seasons, having recorded the best record of the NBA's 2009-10 regular season at 61-21.
