2010 NBA Playoffs

Mike Brown should be fired. He is an absolute terrible coach. After the first 2 games of the Chicago series, I could have told you that benching Shaq and playing Hickson would be a terrific idea, but Brown let Shaq's ego(the downfall of many teams) get to him. I think Shaq in Cleveland was doomed to fail because Shaq would never listen to a guy like Mike Brown. At least in Miami and LA he was forced to respect Riley and Jackson.

Hate to say it Cleveland fans, and I know you're suffering, but I told you so. I told you that the regular season records didn't mean anything come the postseason.

Dan Gilbert & Danny Ferry speaking now. From Windhorst.....

Dan Gilbert says he has not fired Mike Brown, he's going through the evaluation process. So there, from owner's mouth.

It is my belief and all good organizations' belief that you don't fire a coach until you know who the replacement will be.

Gilbert: "I think this is the best franchise for LeBron to play at. We'll do everything in our power to keep great talent."

IF you guys say so.

But you guys are spoiled. The guy has the ENTIRE city on his shoulders...forget the team...THE CITY. ...and he is being ripped as if he let the team down. He did not. His lack of a decent side kick....lack of a any TEAM DEFENSE...and the total loss of respect and trust in the head coach. NOT TO MENTION, he was playing injured....more than likely more than he lead on.

With ALL that said, IF he was healthy...it would have been the same outcome. Boston had BETTER starting 5 minus 1....a BETTER bench and a better MORE BATTLE tested coach.

All this blame on Lebron is just poor loseing. I mean when your team loses by 20+ points you want to blame one guy? When your team gets completely man handled on both Offense and defense you want to blame one guy? Hell even the greatest player in the sport MJ, never won a championship without a great team. Basketball is a team sport. And one man no matter how great a player can win a title without a great team behind him.

IF LeBron played on the NY Knicks or the Minnesota Timberwolves, I'd understand your point, however LeBron plays on a team who has won 120+ games over the last two years. He's been the league MVP for two years straight. Like it or not, expectations are higher and I don't think they've been unreasonable.

All true.

That said, Cleveland was asking Lebron to be the best player on the court during the series...since he IS the best player on the court. If he was the best player during the series and the team still lost, you can start looking out for peripheral reasons.

But he wasn't the best player. He wasn't the Lebron James everyone watched this season. That's why this circles back to Lebron.

Good point. Notice LeBron didn't receive any criticism last year when we lost to the Magic. In that series, he was the best player in the series, although the Cavs lost. Therefore, it was his teammates and coaches who got the blame. If the real LeBron showed up this series, it would be different.

Which of the possible NBA Finals matchups would be the most intriguing?

Lakers-Celtics again?

A Lakers-Magic rematch?

A Celtics-Suns matchup that evokes memories of the famous triple overtime game in 1976?

A Magic-Suns clash that would ensure a first-time champion?

Lakers-Celtics. With the Lakers winning.:D

I don't think the Lakers will win IMHO, if they do fine and if they don't fine too.
What's one more championship added LOL

Now, if they do win (yawn) then what would be more significant from the so called Best Players in the NBA (#23 #24)

Back to Back MVP

or

Back to Back Championships

Conference Finals picks:

Lakers over Suns in 6- IMO, the frontcourt of Gasol, Artest, Bynum and Odom will be too much for Phoenix

Before I get to the East, I have to say that I've been pretty consistent picking my two winter teams thus far in the postseason:

I picked the Sabres over the Bruins............WRONG

I picked the Heat over Celtics.................WRONG

I picked the Bruins over the Flyers..........WRONG

I picked the Cavs over the Celtics..........WRONG

See where I'm going with this?? ;).....................Magic over Celtics in 7
