2010 NBA Playoffs

Well....I was at game #3 of the HEAT/Celtics series and it was BEYOND heartbreaking. There is NOTHING worse than seeing your home team lose a game at the buzzer on the home floor....ESPECIALLY in the playoff to just about to be eliminated.

ONLY the Cav when Michael hit "The Shot" know how it feels....

You can clearly see that though Celtics ARE older, a HEAT team that had a 2nd gun could/would win this series....BUT alas, the HEAT is STILL a one man show....and that one man is great but NOT Michael Jordan great. Clearly, the Celtics are winning because they just have more firepower in regards to scoring than the HEAT do.

Oh, I feel for ya buddy. Unfortunately, I know how you feel. :(

Cavs took Chicago to the woodshed today.

This reminds me of Lakers/Jazz last year- #1 seed wins the first 2 games, #8 seed wins a close game 3 that could have gone either way, then the top seed flexes their muscle in game 4.

Deep down, this didn't surprise me when considering Cleveland almost pulled off a miraculous game 3 comeback. Maybe that was a sign of what was to come in Game 4? I think so.

Game 3 was a wake-up call. More in-depth analysis/thoughts coming up...

I gotta tell ya Bill, that Rondo is one pesky little SOB!! He has been a MAJOR match up problem for the HEAT. To me, he is one of THE top 3 or 4 best point guards in the league.

Rondo scares the crap out of me. One of the Cavs major weaknesses is guarding premiere back court players. (For example, see how Derrick Rose is excelling against us this series). If we advance to play the Celtics in the next round, Rondo is going to be a handful.

Game 4: The Sleeping Giant Has Been Awoken!

If Game 3's loss against Chicago was a wake-up call, the Cavs came out in Game 4 to prove a point. This is the playoffs after all and every game is another challenge not to be taken lightly. Up until Game 4, call it rust if you will, but the Cavs didn't appear to have that "Championship Swagger". Well folks, on Saturday guess who got that swagg back?!

In defense of the Bulls, they hung with the Cavs for 1.5 quarters, but then it seemed like the Cavs shifted to another gear, punctuated by a half court jump shot 3 by LeBron before the 3rd quarter buzzer. Yes, you read that right. I said "half-court jump shot". See here...

Before the game, Antwan Jamison was asking LeBron about his pregame face. He mentioned that the look on LeBron's face was "scary". LeBron went on to say that this is serious and it's time to get down to business. He would not let his team lose this game.

Indeed LeBron took it to another level yesterday. He wasn't about to let the Bulls tie the series up. LeBron finished with a game in which could probably be up there among his all-time playoff greats: 37 pts, 12 reb, 11 ast, in route to his 5th career playoff triple-double.

The NBA playoffs. Where AMAZING Happens!

The Cavs look to close it out at home. Next game is scheduled on Tuesday at 8pm on TNT.

The Spurs win, and now lead the Mavs 3 games to 1.

Since 1997, only three teams have come back from a 3-1 deficit:

1997- Heat over Knicks
2003- Pistons over Magic
2006- Suns over Lakers

Anyone think it'll happen again and Dallas can come all the way back?

(As someone who picked Dallas to make the West Finals and thought that the Spurs were finished as a title threat, I hope so.)

P.S. For now (assuming San Antonio does finish it off) Bill looks like a genius for picking the Spurs over the Mavs

Color me surprised in how this series is playing out so far. Yes, I know the Spurs have the experience, but this Mavs team was supposed to be their best assembled team, possibly ever. Cuban brought in some high profile free agents and this team was supposed to challenge for the Western Conference title, yet they are struggling mightily against a #7 seed?!

I picture a bunch of Laker fans in their Marina Del Ray condo, high-fiving each other after each Thunder fast break dunk, because they have tickets to game seven.

The joke's on them. It might not get to game seven. The Lakers are showing their age.

Kobe vs. LeBron

Interesting stat:

Kobe has taken 1 more shot than LeBron thru 4 playoff games and scored 44 fewer points. Obviously Kobe is struggling but LBJ is very efficient so far in the playoffs!

Tomorrow's game at Staples could be the last for the world champs.. well, maybe next year huh LOL

I can see OKC sweep them after 0-2 start the way they playing. OKC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gottal love the loyalty and passion of Laker fans. When the going gets tough one guy disappears, and the other guy jumps ship.

No wonder the NFL never survives in LA...

Geez the way the Lakers are playing, I should just sell them tix for game 5 on craigslist and watch them lose on TV instead... :)

You are nuts. Traitor!!!

Real fans don't root for their team to lose just because they would go to a game they have tickets.

You root for your team to win because you WANT them to win.
