2010 NBA Playoffs

Bulls win by the skin of their teeth.

They came VERY close to an absolute chokejob.

They led by over 20+ points, but needed free throws to escape w/a 2-point win.

Heckuva game. Down by 21 on the road, we fought all the way back (almost). I can take solace in that type of loss.

What I am NOT happy about is our continued struggles at the free throw line. This has been our weakness the entire year. I believe we ranked next to last in FT% during the regular season. Last night, we were 20-31 (64%). In a close game like this, missed freebies can hurt, A LOT.

Noah grab Lebron's neck....no call....NOT a no call....it's called a HOME TOWN CALL.

This is a BIG story in Cleveland. And Stu Jackson (oversees the officials) was at the game last night. Apparently Coach Mike Brown and GM Danny Ferry had discussions after the game to get a few things cleared up....

Either way, I am NOT going to blame the officials on this loss. The loss was because of our poor FT%.

LeBron Calls out Shaq!

LeBron wasn't too happy with Shaq's pedestrian play the last few games. After last night, he "kind of" called him out...

Complete LBJ quote, not huge deal:
"I'm not concerned. We know we need him to pick up his play and he knows that also."

Shaq declined to talk to the media after the game.

Shaq is how old now? He is picking up his game as far as he can now. I look for him to retire soon.

As a Clevelander it's tough, but: I Will not panic. I will not panic. I will not panic.

HD MM, I've been pissin my pants over the abysmal FT shooting for a few months now. It's making me VERY uncomfortable.

He's 38, but in this series he looks especially slow since Chicago is so small. Shaq's presence will be appreciated if we play the Orlando's/ Lakers of the league. Until then though, I say we go small and play JJ Hickson more than Shaq.

Kobe went cold at the worst possible time last night. OKC COMPLETELY outplayed LA in the 4th quarter, and they pulled off a tight win. This has been a fun series so far, hopefully Lakers can grab game 4

Can you find it on YouTube or anywhere? I only saw it the once, live, but I thought that I saw Lebron fouled him at the torso level with his left arm first, and Noah was (over?) reacting to that assualt.

Actually, it was James's RIGHT arm that he snuck around Noah's torso, and so while Noah was committed to spreading his arms, I think he reacted to being grabbed in that vulnerable area. You can see James's arm grabbing Noah's torso for just a frame or two here.

Pierce wins it at the buzzah!!! :D

Celtics now lead the series, 3-0

* No NBA team has EVER come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series

* This is the first time the Celtics have held a 3-0 lead since the great '86 team held a 3-0 lead against the Bucks in the ECF

* The Celtics win their first road playoff game, their '08 championship team was 0-6 before they won a road contest aginst Detroit in the ECF

With the #8 seeds cutting their respective series deficits to 2-1, here's an interesting fact:

since the first-round was changed to a best of 7 in 2003, none of the teams that went on to win the NBA Championship swept their round 1 opponent.

2003 Spurs- needed 6 games to beat Phoenix

2004 Pistons- Milwaukee got a split in Motown before Detroit recovered to win the next 3

2005 Spurs- Lost the opener to Denver, won the next 4

2006 Heat- Won the first 2 against Chicago, lost the next 2, won the last 2

2007 Spurs- Same as 2005.

2008 Celtics- Atlanta won every game at home, but got killed on the road

2009 Lakers- Lost a close game 3 at Utah, but won in 5

Spurs beat Mavs, even though they hit zero 3's. How often does that happen?

(Anyone think they still win the West as a #7 seed, or is this their last chance w/their core group?)

I'm glad the Celtics are playng better but, they still didn't box out well and got out jumped and out hustled on rebounds and loose balls.

will game 5 times be announced after the games today? i might go to game 5 if i can find out what time its at

This morning on talk radio, they were debating where Paul Pierce falls among the Celtics all-time players.

I agree with the guy that said Pierce is in the top ten, but NOT the top five.

IMO, that lofty place belongs to Russell, Bird, Havlicek, Cousy and McHale.

there is no way Pierce is a top 5 player when you just mentioned 5 that are better than him
its more of an interesting topic with the Lakers. You have Baylor, West, Abdul-Jabbar, Chamberlain, Magic, Kobe, Shaq, Worthy, Goodrich, and more. Where do you rank all these plays in a top 5 list?

That's a very interesting question!!

IMO, you have to give extra points for a player that plays their whole career there (not that it's an end all be all, but more of an everything being equal type thing).

That being said, here's MY top 5 Lakers of all time:

1. Magic
2. Jerry West
3. Kareem
4. Kobe
5. Eljin Baylor
