2010 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament Thread

Disagree on the squid. Calimari's dribble-drive-motion-chuck-and-duck is only occasionally good against the zone, when their myriad 3's are falling. I would like Cuse against this offense, as the top of their zone is very tall this year, making it (possibly) the best version of Boeheim's 2-3 ever.

Size means nothing against KY. KY is the tallest team in the NCAA.

WVU lost their point guard Darryl Bryant to a broken foot yesterday.

And they said that Ga Tech was the tallest team when they played Ohio State ....

btw, Bucks moved on. :)

Well, they were wrong. KY is the tallest team in the NCAA and I think it is the tallest team ever.

Yeah, but beating the Jackets hasn't exactly been too hard the past couple years. :(

Though if anyone from St. John's is listening, it's the best coached team ever, bar none, so you should really considered Hewitt. ;)

Tall = slow. Smaller, more athletic teams will run circles around your big lurpy Kentuckians. (ex. Ohio U over Georgetown).

Tell John Wall and Eric Bledsoe how slow they are. Besides being the tallest team in the NCAA's UK is one of the quickest. Watch them one time and then tell me how slow they are.

I don't.

From Sports Illustrated, January 5, 1970

...Jacksonville University, (is) the country's tallest major college team, which is how the school's publicists boasted about it all fall. With 7'2" Artis Gilmore at center, 7' Pembrook Burrows III at the high post and 6'10" Rod McIntyre at forward...

It leads the nation in average points a game (almost 107), average margin of victory (39.8) and doorways ducked through...

...and got dismantled by the Steve Patterson-led UCLA Bruins in the 1970 NCAA Finals.
