2010 Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament Thread

Damn straight. Kansas loses to a freaking mid-major. KU did not deserve to win today. They did not play with any urgency. UNI was hungry, and they played to win; just like St. Mary's in their victory over Nova.

And sure, the power conferences spend insane amounts of money on their athletic programs, but there is some damn good basketball played in conferences like the Missouri Valley.

Kentucky sure is playing good right now.

I am so glad Kansas lost. :D

A year or two from now, we'll likely learn that the timers were set wrong on all of the Kansas player's alarm clocks this mornng, throwing their routines off, and the suspect will be someone who had his season ticket seating improved at Kentucky, but Calipari knew nothing of it...

(he) can't be convicted,
He's earned his degree.

The team that'll benefit the most in the Midwest regional from the KU upset will be:

A. Ohio State
B. The Michigan State/Maryland winner
C. Tennessee

B. Nothing aginst Northern Iowa, but the Maryland-Michigan St winner should at least get to the RF.

And I was torn on that game. I think Maryland has been terrific this year and could get to the FF, but I went against my heart and picked Michigan St just because Tom Izzo always takes his teams further than you expect. Well the way my bracket's looking Michigan St should be scared. Maryland may win by 30.

Amazed that most people are dismissing Tennessee. They did beat UK and Kansas this season and are playing very well right now. I know I (UK) do not want to play them again.

Apparantly you missed the SEC tournament. Message sent.

I hope Salsa didn't miss this Syracuse performance. As far as I'm concerned they've got a straight shot to the title game.

What a day for Cornell!!!

Their basketball team is advaning to the Sweet Sixteen, their Men's hockey team made the NCAA Tournament and their Women's hockey team is about to start the third OT in the National Championship Game against Minnesota-Duluth...........

Wow!!!! What a finish between Michigan St and Maryland........................the Spartans advance to the Sweet Sixteen!!!

That has to hurt for Maryland.

I thought they were going to complete the comeback- shades of Gonzaga/UCLA- but the Spartans hit the winner.

To come that close to an epic comeback- that has to sting.

As for the Spartans- props for coming up in the face of adversity when it looked like the Terps would complete the comeback.

All props to the Spartans for not wilting in the heat of Maryland's late comeback.

.I've learned one thing about MSU- NEVER bet against Tom Izzo. He is a magician- getting maximum effort at the best times.

That's why I picked Michigan St to win this one. I loved what Maryland did this year. Best team the Terps have had in years, but there's something about Izzo. He's like a leprechaun.
