Bruins' Lucic suspended for 1 game
TORONTO (AP) Boston left winger Milan Lucic was suspended for a game by the NHL on Sunday for a blow to the head on Montreal's Maxim Lapierre in the Bruins' Game 2 victory Saturday night in Boston.
Lucic was assessed a match penalty for high-sticking with 4:32 left in the game.
"While it is unclear whether Lucic's glove or stick makes contact with Lapierre, what is clear is that he delivered a reckless and forceful blow to the head of his opponent," said Colin Campbell, the NHL's senior executive vice president of hockey operations.
Lucic will miss Game 3 on Monday night in Montreal.
Ducks win AGAIN against the #1 seed.
KCK, I bit my tongue the first time, but IMO, Anaheim got some lucky bounces tonight.
Jimbo went through the same thing in 2002- President's Trophy winning team drops first two at home. Could history repeat itself?
(I hope so; if the team I picked to win the Cup goes out early, I'll be really mad)
Your right they can't skate head to head with the Wings but they are normally a little more physical than the Wings.
How's that worked out so far?
