2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs

2-0 wings, second period. Watching these guys play well really spoils us. We have had 15-20 years of great hockey!. From a sports percepective kind of makes you apreciate it watching the pistons seven year run end so badly:( with the sweep that thats going to happen

Many thought the Wings would go thru a transition when Yzerman and company retired/left.

That didn't happen,

Thank you Mr and Mrs Illitch

Nice to see both Datsyuk and Zetterberg score; 3-0 Wings after two. Columbus had three really good scoring opportunities that period, but it was even nicer to see Ozzie shut 'em down. The 3rd period should be an interesting one. The tempers are flaring and there have been a number of mildly cheap shots during the 2nd period. I predict a fight or two before this one is over.

Helm should get plenty of ice time in the third.

Hunwick out indefinitely after removal of ruptured spleen

By: Joe Haggerty

Bruins defenseman Matt Hunwick is out indefinitely after Saturday afternoon surgery to remove a ruptured spleen. According to Bruins team doctor Peter Asnis, the injury probably happened on a second period bodycheck into the boards during Game 1 of the playoff series between the Canadiens and the B's. Asnis said it was "possible" that Hunwick could return at a later point in the playoffs, but the recuperation time for a normal person after a splenectomy is four to six weeks. It's unclear how long it might take to heal enough for Hunwick to play hockey again. Shane Hnidy will replace Hunwick in Saturday night's Bruins lineup.

Is the game on TSN ?

I don't have TSN as an available channel to watch, what about channel 9 out of Canada ?
I used to have TSN on my StarChoice system, but I sold it when we moved down to TX. I have seen the NHL HD and VS HD pickup the TSN feed sometimes, but it's usally during the last few minutes of a game or during overtime. To be honest, Fox is probably providing their feed to TSN for this one.

As far as Channels 9 goes, I would need a really big antenna to pick it up here in Dallas. Heck, the last time I used to watch channels 9 it was still called CKLW.

It's a shame he will miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs!
