Washington is having a rough time with the Rangers and are down 1-0 after the 1st period. They will be in a world of hurt if they lose both home games and go down 2-0 in this series.
Yep, the Caps have outshot the Rangers 71-44, but there are down BIG where it counts...Wins and Losses.Rangers win, 1-0 and lead series 2-0.
Rangers win, 1-0 and lead series 2-0.
I am equally shocked! For Washington to overcome a 2-0 deficit with 3 of 5 games to be played in NY is a daunting task...however, I would not count out the Caps.I am shocked.
I viewed New York all year as a team with piddling offense- of the 16 playoff teams, no team had fewer goals all year.
I guess a good goalie is all any team needs.
a goalie, like a starting pitcher, can make a world of difference!
This is amazing that the Rangers are winning this series
No playoff team scored fewer goals during the season than the Rangers.
I guess a good goalie can cover up any team weaknesses.
I just noticed the Red Wings vs. Blue Jackets will be broadcast by NHL HD in my FiOS TV area. I don't recall ever watching a live event on NHL HD so I can only assume their feed will be coming from elsewhere. Does anyone know where the feed will be coming from?
Thanks!
Goal! 1-0 Red Wings! I like how they're playing...very physical. Of course, the refs are calling way too many penalties IMO. Given the Detroit's top-ranked powerplay and Columbus down at #30, this is a big advantage for the Wings.
It's Fox Sports Detroit, which is what I was hoping for...although it would have been nice to have the TSN feed as well. One immediate improvement over the Versus HD coverage is Fox turns up the volume on the "on ice" and crowd mics while, at the same time, turning down the volume on the announcers. I hate listening to announcers overpower the game, but I love listening to skates tearing up the ice, the puck hitting sticks, the organ getting the crowd going, the crowd chanting in unison, and the occasional "oh S***" from one of the players. The feed will be LIVE from the Joe
Of course, you knew that !

Good 1st period....
