I would not get too excite...the final series of the season between the Marlins and Mets is looking MORE and MORE like last year. We ALL know what happened to the Mets last year when they played that series with the Marlins....
In case you did not notice, not the same team as last year, not the same manager as last year and we are 9-6 against them this year; winning 4 out of 5 of the series.
AL Update:
The Rays magic number to clinch their first ever playoff berth is now 1.
The Red Sox magic number to clinch a playoff berth is now 2.
The Blue Jays have been officially elinated from the AL east race, but they are still BARELY alive for the wildcard. Their elimination number is 1.
The Yankees elimination number is down to 1 in the AL East, and 2 in the wildcard race. Tomorrow could be the day the Yankees are shutout of the postseason for the first time since 1993.
The Twins elimination number is down to 2 in the wildcard race, BUT they are still very much alive in the AL Central:

Hud was just talking about how Colon walked away from the Sox this week. Looks like Stoneman knew what he was doing not re-signing Bartolo even though he won some gold. I knew it and even told MikeI that at the beginning of this season, but Boston was buying into his lard ass.

With the Yankees all but done, I ask you this:

In all fairness, I hate to say it but I have been saying it for years now . . . A-Rod is a clubhouse "disease" . . . no team will win with him! He is a distraction and not a team player!

The Cubs will clinch the NL Central with either a win OR a Brewers loss.
The Rays will clinch a playoff berth with either a win OR losses by BOTH the Yankees and White Sox.
