Do the Twins STILL have a chance to catch the White Sox?

After what Tampa's done to them, they're NOT a legit playoff threat in my eyes.

Yes, because they play each other in a three games series in Minnesota. BUT, I now think the Twins would have to sweep that series to have a realistic chance.

7 back in the Wild Card, but only 2.5 from the White Sox....

The Twins have a 3 game set with the W. Sox next and finish with KC
White Sox have 3 with Cleveland to end the season.

Yes, the TWINS still have a good chance and the Indians can help the cause.

Jimbo

Maddon had to pull Percival after he gave up a run, and put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Rays still up, 7-1 with one out.

NBA Player Salaries and NBA Team Payrolls 2007-2008 | thehoopdoctors.com

I'm a little confused as to how you define bought? Is it because they traded for Kevin Garnett, who is the highest paid player in the league?

The Celtics improved their team DRAMATICALLY because they acquired Garnett and Ray Allen. Now, if their payroll was well over every other team in the league, I could see your point, BUT.........................................

2007-08 NBA Payrolls:

1. Dallas- $105 million
2. New York- $90 million
3. Denver- $80 million
4. Cleveland- $79 million
5. BOSTON- $75 million
6. Portland- $74 million
7. Miami- $73 million
8. Lakers- $72 million
9. Phoenix- $71 million
10. Philadelphia- $70.8 million

With the Yankees all but done, I ask you this:

What was the cause of playoff death? (Bad ptiching? A-Rod?)

All of the above...but more to do with the GOD AWFUL front office, over paying for some...not going after the right players to fit what they need. EVERYONE knows they have had pitching woes.....then they tried to bring in kids that just weren't ready....and then in the end, they ALWAYS blame A-Rod.....

A-rod is the most over rated athlete I can ever remember. King of the homerun, down or up by 10.

Your kidding right? YES, he is an arrogant pr***.....but overrated? Wonder if you were saying the same thing when the Red Sox wanted him so badly they were almost handing their sisters and wives to him just to get him to sign.

Please.....you don't like him because he is a Yankee. Was he overrated in Seattle? Or Texas?! Before he was moved to short to please the little crybaby Jeter, he was not only the best shortstop in the majors, he was THE BEST PLAYER in the last 25 years......PERIOD. And as of now(baring some 'deap throat' somewhere), he has done it ALL CLEAN.
