NCAA Football 2009-10 Season

In college, there was a defensive back on our team who was super fast. He was a couple of years ahead of me so I asked another teammate why he never returned kicks. He said, "if there was one tree in the middle of the desert, he would run into it."

Sounds like me hitting a golf ball this past summer. Nothing but "tree" woods in my bag. :D

Worst golfing I've ever done.

I would imagine that if Miami handles VTech, then that big stadium should be packed for the Oklahoma game, shouldn't it? How big is the damn thing anyway? :D

It holds 78,000....but remember...Miami is a private school....with maybe 8,000 or 9,000 students. I mean there is as many FSU and Florida alumni down in Miami as anywhere else in the state. MOST of the people that go to the games is fanbase and not alumni.

I would suppose the place will sell out....but it is NOTHING like the grand ole girl, the Orange Bowl. The capacity was only 56,000....but when it was packed and rockin' ..it was as loud as any of the stadiums that almost holds twice as much. The way it was built, it seemed like you were right on top of the players.

i agree that for sure they will be noticed.still not sure about that top 3 spot though. but if you're correct i'll be sure to give you your props;)

It's not so much props Rey....NOBODY deserves to be ranked higher if they get past that 1st 4.....period. Tell me, anybody ELSE scheduling their 1st 4 games against NATIONAL powerhouse like FSU, Oklahoma, VaTech to start the season?? Add a rising program like GaTech....most school would be bragging about having a tough schedule if those were only top teams they would play ON THE WHOLE SCHEDULE..!

...but the 1st 4 games...?

IF...and again....IF the 'Canes get by those 1st 4....NOBODY deserves to brag MORE than The U. REGARDLESS of what the top 5 have done after 5 games. NOBODY will have a tougher schedule this year than Miami after 4.

ROFLMAO! Oh please.....GT was over-rated. Early season polls are so FOS!

Again...it is not about the ranking as much as WHO they play their 1st 4 games. I do not see ANYONE ELSE playing 3 national football powers in their initial 4 games...

Florida State WILL have a good season....
So will GaTech....

They BOTH will be in bowls for sure.

But apparently can't hit water from a boat with a football.:D

I am so glad that the U went after a guy that can actually play QB and show leadership like Jacory has shown.

The U took alot of heat for not recruiting him because according to some of the reports either by paper or local news, Prior really liked Shannon.

I had the pleasure of attending a few games in the Orange Bowl, pro and college. Good venue for football, that's a fact.

agreed :up

Why I love college football so much more then the NFL... Look at the stadiums, Look at the Alabama game going on right now, or the UNC game. Look at the crowd. Youd think everyone was wearing the same clothes as they all sport their teams colors. You dont find that at an NFL game. Its like the stadium is being painted in team colors.

True dedication

Not to mention what is a football game without a band playing?

However , many times they hand out t shirts as you come it, in order to do that ....
But I know what you mean. :)

Ohio State is showing no mercy on Toledo.

So much for an upset special.
Minnesota falling apart against Cal after playing them an even game for 3 quarters.

All other games are blowouts over nobodies. I wish they would bring back strength of schedule as a factor in the BCS. Schedules for most of these top teams suck. I'm starting to agree with Salsa now - rank Miami in the top 3 if they win out. Screw this crap.

Nicely said by the fan whose team plays Louisiana-Lafayette tonight. :D

I'm not omitting them either. Washington, Vanderbilt, ULL... frustrating (and boring) watching them play teams like that. Win big, what does that tell you? Close game makes you wonder. Strength of schedule needs to be factor.
