Zack Snyder will direct a 'Justice League' movie to follow 'Batman vs. Superman'

Official Synopsis for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Revealed https://games.yahoo.com/news/official-synopsis-batman-v-superman-143200620.html#
There hasn't been a lot coming from the set of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Seems Warner Bros is a bit more guarded about next year's blockbuster film, which will hit theaters on March 25, 2016. There's been a teaser and a couple photos here and there, but nothing compared to what we're seeing come from other films. However, with the Licensing Expo starting tomorrow in Las Vegas, Collider got their hands on the first official synopsis for the upcoming film. Check it out: Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. The synopsis is pretty much what we expected, for the most part. However, there's one thing we don't know. Who or what is this new threat that quickly rises? From what we know of, from the cast, there's not really any villains here, aside from Lex Luthor. Could he be the new threat? One that's big enough to take on both Batman AND Superman? Looks like we'll have to wait to find out.

5 Ways Batman Has Already Defeated Superman http://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/5-ways-batman-has-defeated-superman.html/?ref=YF
In the world of comics there are few names that carry as much weight and meaning behind them than Superman and Batman. Both are considered cultural phenomena in their own right while simultaneously acting as foils to each other. The differences in strengths, methods, and principles are so clashing that it often leads to disagreement between the two; sometimes even straight up altercation. Though it may seem that Superman would obviously have the upper hand in these moments, one should never underestimate the resourcefulness of The World’s Greatest Detective. Time and time again Batman has proven not only formidable, but even superior, to the Man of Steel. How has Batman, a man with no inherent super powers, managed to defeat the Man of Steel over and over again?

Sweet Batman v Superman Posters Make It Pretty Clear Who The Hero Is http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Swee...ters-Make-It-Pretty-Clear-Who-Hero-71947.html
If you’ve been keeping up on the news and marketing for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, you’ve no doubt noticed that while both stars are DC’s pop culture icons, the Dark Knight has been painted in a more flattering light than the Man of Steel. Well, now it’s been made perfectly clear who the hero of this film will be in the DCCU's public eye thanks to these new promo posters. First, let’s take a look at Superman:
Heroic Hollywood found these new posters, which look similar to the posters that came out shortly before the film’s first trailer was screened at IMAX theaters two months ago. The image of Kal-El is a still taken from Man of Steel, but the words are more of what we heard the talking heads saying in the teaser trailer. "False God" is once written in large letters, and the assertion that he was responsible for Metropolis’ destruction. Adding insult to injury is not just the Bat symbol etched over Superman’s emblem, but also the claim that Lex Luthor is the city’s savior. If only they knew what that bald industrialist was up to behind closed doors. Suffice to say, despite Superman’s mission to do good and protect his adopted people, a vocal group of people are doing their best to stick it to the Kryptonian.

For those who want to avoid potential SPOILERS about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, don't read further. After last week's plot synopsis, many fans have been wondering how much of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice running time will be devoted to the title characters' conflict and how much will cover the "Dawn of Justice" (the formation of the Justice League). Rumors have been floating around for awhile now about which future Justice League members will get their debut in the film. Other than Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), it became rather obvious Aquaman (Jason Momoa) would have some introduction considering we have official artwork as seen above, but what about The Flash (Ezra Miller) and just how much of them will we see? If you believe the good folks at Heroic Hollywood, we now know how big the roles of both will be

New Batman v Superman Stills Show Bruce Wayne & Wonder Woman Dancing http://news.yahoo.com/new-batman-v-superman-stills-show-bruce-wayne-151945470.html
Entertainment Weekly has revealed new stills from ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ as part of their Comic Con issue. The magazine’s cover also shows off a new look at the film’s stars Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman - the DC Comics trinity. In the new images we get a look at Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor with long and greasy hair and Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot dancing at a “high society function” as their Batman and Wonder Woman alter egos Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince. Sadly not in costume.“I love the fact that there was this 'Thomas Crowne Affair’, Bond-y sexy scene that they wrote about two people who are pretending to be two different people who each know the secrets of the other person,” said Ben Affleck to EW.Those worried about Luthor’s hair are assured in the picture’s caption that the character’s famously bald head - as revealed at an earlier date - will still feature in the movie.

Wait, Why Is Wonder Woman In This Batman v Superman Scene? http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Wait-Why-Wonder-Woman-Batman-v-Superman-Scene-72374.html
We’ve known for quite sometime that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice introduces audiences to the latest on screen version of Wonder Woman, played in this iteration by Gal Gadot. What we haven’t heard yet is what her specific role will be in the action, or even how large a part she’ll have in this movie. While we still don’t have concrete answers to either of those questions, a new picture that shows Gadot’s Diana Prince with Ben Affleck’s Bruce Wayne offers us our best look yet. This image, which first appeared in Entertainment Weekly, gives us our first official look at Gadot not in her Wonder Woman get up and within the context of the film. What exactly is going on here remains to be seen, but from what we can see, it’s clear that both Wonder Woman and Batman’s civilian alter egos have at least a brief encounter in Dawn of Justice.

Zack Snyder Reveals Man of Steel Batman Tease That Never Was http://news.yahoo.com/zack-snyder-reveals-man-of-steel-batman-tease-that-111441839.html
‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ was almost teased with a credits scene at the end of 'Man of Steel’. director Zack Snyder has revealed. The problem was that plans for Superman and Batman to clash were yet to be set in stone, and the scene in question would have forced Warner Bros to make the film happen.“I said, ‘What about at the end of the movie we do a scene where there’s a crate full of kryptonite delivered to Wayne Manor,’ Snyder told Entertainment Weekly in their cover feature about the movie.“Everyone was like…‘Okaaay.’ Once you say it out loud it’s a problem because you can’t unsay it.”Fair enough. Another concern might have been that it would appear Warner Bros were imitating Marvel Studios’ love of putting teasers at the end of its film. 'Man of Steel’ was already the beginning of the DC Comics film universe which will attempt to rival Marvel’s Avengers universe.

Affleck Talks Being Batman https://celebrity.yahoo.com/news/affleck-talks-being-batman-014927697.html
If you were among those surprised to hear Ben Affleck had been cast as the next big screen Batman, you're not alone. The actor himself was caught pretty off guard, too."My first reaction was, 'Are you sure?'" the newly single star told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published on Friday. "At the time I was 40, 41, and had just finished 'Argo,' and I felt like, 'This seems like a strange way to get to Batman."Strange" is one way to put it, although many fans offered more colorful terms when news broke in August that the Oscar winner would don the Dark Knight's iconic cape and cowl.

Gal Godot: 'It’s impossible not to be a little nervous' about playing Wonder Woman.....'She's the gateway drug to the Justice League,' says director Zack Snyder http://www.ew.com/article/2015/07/03/gal-godot-becoming-wonder-woman
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice..Gal Gadot walked into her casting session with director Zack Snyder with no idea she was auditioning to play an icon. “I knew [the role] was big and it was for one of the franchises,” the 30-year-old Israeli actress says. After she read a scene from Pulp Fiction, the director let her in on the secret. “He said, ‘Well, I don’t know how big she is in Israel…’ and my jaw just dropped. There are so many expectations for this character, it’s impossible not to? be a little nervous about it.”Since the release of Iron Man in 2008, there have been more than 20 mainstream comic-book adaptations with a man in the title role. The number with women? Exactly zero, a statistic ?that will remain unchanged until the 2017 release of Wonder Woman, with Gadot carrying the golden lasso. Audiences will get their first glimpse of her in action as the Amazonian warrior in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. “She plays a super-important part,” Snyder says. “In a lot of ways, she’s the gateway drug to ?the rest of the ?Justice League.”

Zack Snyder Finally Defended The Carnage In Man Of Steel http://io9.com/zack-snyder-finally-defended-the-carnage-in-man-of-stee-1715766431
The ending of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel has been heavily criticized for the sheer amount of destruction, something that fans have noted is out of character for Superman. Now, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Snyder has defended the destruction of Metropolis, and confirmed a theory that we’ve long entertained. In the interview, Snyder explains that the violence has a purpose, and that there will be consequences for Superman:

Zack Snyder teases Wonder Woman’s role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, hints at Brainiac as a future villain http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2015/...stice-hints-brainiac-as-a-future-villain.html
Just a few days ago thanks to Entertainment Weekly we got a bunch of new images from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (see here and here) and as part of their ongoing exclusive the magazine has been speaking to director Zack Snyder. In the extensive interview amongst other things Snyder teased that Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman wouldn’t just be a cameo and that her role would be more important than everybody thinks:“She plays a super-important part. In a lot of ways, she’s the gateway drug to ?the rest of the ?Justice League.”Considering we already know that Dawn of Justice is the lead-in to the long awaited Justice League movie – and other solo DC superhero flicks – then this little piece of information shouldn’t really come as much of a surprise. Still it’s nice to hear it from Snyder anyway. The “gateway drug” comment seems to suggest what a lot of rumours have suggested that Wonder Woman is what brings the two heroes – and eventually the JLA – together.

See Every Justice League Member Ever In Awesome Video Montage - See more at: http://www.cinemablend.com/pop/See-...Video-Montage-72844.html#sthash.KkZbXT16.dpuf
Every Justice League Member Ever......You know Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the Flash. Heck, you may even know Martian Manhunter, Hawkman, Booster Gold and Firestorm. But do you know EVERY JUSTICE LEAGUER EVER?! You will after you're done watching our DC All Access clip!......
If we may borrow a phrase, comics are weird. The Justice League has been around for a really long time, 55 years to be exact, and it contains some of the biggest names in the history of comic books. However, any organization that’s been around as long as the League has is also going to have it’s share of lesser known members. We’re pretty sure you can’t name them all. DC Entertainment has released a montage video which lists every member the Justice League has ever had from Superman and Batman, to Captain Cold and Power Ring.
