I just got a new laptop that has windows 7 on in and need assistance in setting up email. I use a yahoo account and what i want to do is when I click on a link to email to automatically be able to send emails. Is there anyway to do this?

You need an e-mail client.
If you have MS Office - it can be Outlook.
If you don't (have or like it), get a free one like Thunderbird.

I assume Yahoo mail supports POP3/IMAP4...

Diogen.

Download Windows Live Essentials via Windows Update and use Windows Mail.

ok say i tried to do what you said and it says in order to do this you need a yahoo plus account and it cost $20 a year. Is there any other way to do this?

don't pub members/founders get a free @satelliteguys email? Never used it myself but maybe that would work for you.

ok so i set up the live mail and linked it to my aol.com email address and that is working. Now when i hit the mail icon on my ie toolbar however it says "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed."
