Two plus years with an Apple watch, no screen protector, and no issues. Then again, even more years with an iPhone, without a screen protector. This stuff is built well.
I’ve been browsing the Apple Watch app on my iPhone and looking at the different watch faces as well as the apps. I can’t wait for mine to arrive!!
I’m hoping a future Apple Watch will be able to function as a glucometer without needing a separate device. I bet my wife would be on board with getting one then.

I'm not sure I'd want my watch lancing me when I wasn't expecting it.
An acquaintance of mine has a skin-mounted glucometer and he had to get an Android phone to monitor it.
Retired and have no time for watches. Sorry guys am on a pun roll. Let me see how long it can last.
Got replacement Watch in 2 days. Sent back broken Watch and the hold was taken off credit card for full amount. No charge for shipping. Another case where csr’s giving wrong info.
I bought this one and returned it:

The case wraps around the watch except for the area around the crown, buttons and the bottom sensors.
I found that when using the watch workouts, the capillary action sucked in sweat so that I could see water under the case and across the face of the watch. Likewise if wearing in the shower. This necessitated removing the case and drying both the watch and the case.
Plus, the bulbous look of the case always reminded me of visiting relatives in my childhood who had those vinyl covers on their sofas.
Apple just registered 6 new Apple watch models ahead of next month's new product announcements. These 4 were registered for the Eurasian markets. Looks like more size variety to choose.

Looks like the two on the left are the current models and the two on the right are what the rumors are. Screen a bit larger even though the size of the watch is the same. They are supposedly making the bezel a bit smaller to get the larger screen. I like the one on the right. Damnit Apple, I already upgraded...LOL!!!
I’ll upgrade from my gps 3 if there are more health features. Rumor that a better heart rate monitor will be on the 4. I would love not to have to wear an external heart rate monitor while doing certain exercises. Not a criticism of Apple but all optical heart rate sensors. If there is a company out that can get the heart rate monitor close enough for me, it will be Apple imo.
What do you consider a problem with the watch heart rate monitor. What apps do you use now? I mostly use the Cardiogram app and put the tracking on continuous when exercising. But it monitors 24/7 for the past 6 hours display on a bar graph when not on continuous. Otherwise Cardiogram takes a reading every 4 seconds when displayed and logs a bar every 15 minutes when in the background. I like it because it detects AFIB and Atrial Flutter.
The only other system I know of is the Qardio EKG. Expensive and you have to strap the electrodes on your chest. FDA is holding up this in the US but they will ship to a Canadian address.
I upgraded last year with the 3 and cellular. I am very happy with it too. The wifi is much better than my original. The only reason I would upgrade now is if they came out with one that had a camera built in for facetime calls. I don't know if there is anything else that I would like to see.

With tennis, strength training and basketball the optical monitor is useless. I’ll where chest strap for those exercises. Everything else like walk/run, biking, indoor/outdoor rowing I find the Watch to be pretty accurate with very few drops.

I got in about 4 months ago and my Watch has sent close to 900 reports to the study. If you are alerted by them that you may have Afib, you will be offered to do a FaceTime appointment with a Dr. from the study and the Dr will give you the option to wear a monitor so they can monitor on a regular basis.
