Which HD Cinema Movies have you seen?Would you like to post your review of the movie?

Return of the Magnificient Seven 2.5 stars not as good as the Magnificient Seven but it still gives you good entertaining. PQ was ok but OAR would have been much much better.

Robbers Roost: 2.5 A very young Richard Boone plays on this one. I was in the mood to watch some western today and this one caught me by surprise. Nice western scenery and somewhat interested but with very little depth.

Tales from the Crypt (the documentary) 4.5 stars. Wow! This is a must see if you are into the Tales from the Crypt. I was not a fan of the comic books because they were before my time but I am a huge fan of the TV show and the movie. This documentary goes into how it was created, how it was banned (censored) from the general public and its rebirth. George Romero, John Carpenter among others are feature in the documentary and the PQ is just excellent. It is framed 1:33:1. The only problem is the sound. There seems to be some technical problem with the sound otherwise I would have given it a 5!

A Life Apart: Hasidism in America 4.0 powerful, very interested, full of information. This is one documentary that I recommend as I learned a lot that I did not know and sometimes the worst part is not to know somebody else upbringing, culture, religion, values and way of living. Formated at 1:33:1 and PQ looked from good to very good depending on the segment that it was shown as lots of it is video and not film.

Spellbinder - 4 stars : I've been a fan of this movie for quite some time now. It has one of my favorite endings of any movie ever. It's a little on the cheesy side and some of the effects aren't quite as "special" as you'd expect from a modern horror film, but it's still a real enjoyable flick that responds well to HD and surround sound.

Vampire's Kiss - 2 stars : The movie itself is crap -- but what a performance by Nicholas Cage! As he's proven over the years, he is a special sort of crazy - and it's all on display here. The man just goes nuts with this role and it's really fun to watch. Very good PQ, too.

Krush Groove - 4 stars : Talk about a film that captures the essence of an era! Here it is - the early days of rap in all it's "funky fresh" and "def" glory. I was about 14 when this came out and thought it was the greatest movie ever. I hadn't seen it since, until this morning. It may be even better now, when you can look at the featured artists with an eye on historical perspective and their importance to music. Run-DMC (when Reverend Run was just plain "Run" and DMC still had the best voice in rap and Jam Master Jay (rest in peace) was still jammin'). Kurtis Blow at the top of his game. Introductions to LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys and New Edition. The Fat Boys in all their silliness. And Sheila E doing "Holly Rock" and "A Love Bizarre" in 5.1? Priceless! The story was very predictable and the acting quite awful, but this film gets HIGH marks for sound (and top marks for soundtrack!) and history. If you like rap and haven't seen this film, you must watch it.

The Greatest - 3 stars : A great story about a great man who does great things. Great PQ, somewhat less than great sound (not very surroundy at all). Muhammad Ali sure could box, but certainly isn't the greatest actor (but I've seen worse performances by people who actually do it for a living!).

The Monster Squad 3.5 stars Excellent movie. Very often forgotten for its simplicity. PQ was very good but would have been excellent if shown in its OAR. Quite a squad of monsters reunite for this one. I enjoyed a whole lot.

Krush Groove 3.5 stars I have to agree with Timm on this one. Just the price of the music makes it worthy to watch.

Bubba Ho-Tep 4.0 stars I found the story to be very original and very well thought. I loved it. It was funny and entertaining. Watch it if you like a good story.

Bubba Ho-Tep - 4 stars : Clever, clever, clever. Very well-written with much attention to detail. The whole thing is amusing, while at the same time addressing serious issues such as aging, and treatment of & attitudes toward the elderly. A true original. Great PQ and sound.

A Chorus Line - 2 stars : While most of this movie was visually boring (despite a pretty good PQ), a few scenes were quite impressive. The sound was excellent (athough I wasn't crazy about the actual songs) - with a terrific surround mix. I found the story pretty dull, but enjoyed the pretty girls in their form-fitting dancer outfits. If I didn't have surround sound, I probably wouldn't have lasted very long into this one.

A Chorus Line 3.0 As I agree with Timm, I was not thrilled about the movie itself but the dancing and the music kept me watching it and the fact that it was OAR made a hughe difference to the PQ and to the cinematic viewing of the movie. Thanks VoOM for bringing this in OAR.

Christina's House - 2.5 stars : Not a big fan of the genre, but I found this movie to be pretty darned watchable -- in no small part due to the loveliness of the lead actress (Allison Lange I think?). She's adorable. The movie itself offers good PQ and sound, and a story that's not too retarded.

Abandon Ship 3.5 stars. Quite an interested B&W movie. Excellent acting and story was quite good. A group of survivors (26) for a small boat that is only made to hold 9 and at most 15. The captain in charge makes the decision that only 15 can ride on the boat. The decision is not easy and this is were the acting gets very good. Don't miss it and do not dismiss the movie because is B&W. It is based on a true story and it is quite good.

Tales from the Dark Side 3.5 I have seen this movie before in HD and it was a suprised to see on MonstersHD. I like this gendre and found the stories to be excellent. The PQ was excellent as well. Great flick!

Natural Born Killers - 5 stars : Few movies have been made that I enjoy watching as much as this one. Juliette Lewis is brilliant. Oliver Stone is a frickin' genius. There is no end to the creativity in this film. The story is absolutely gripping and all-too-real. Excellent soundtrack that adds a lot to the feel of the movie. Great acting performances all around. Did I mention Juliette Lewis? Pretty darned good HD treatment as well. No complaints about the PQ (a lot of it was supposed to look like that!), and the sound was very good and explosive. I may not leave the house today. :)

Bad Boys - 4 stars : Young punks in a young-punk prison acting like young punks. Good stuff. Sean Penn could act way back then, too. Esai Morales (later of NYPD Blue) has gotten much better over the years. One of the great fight-scene endings - the whole scene kinda stays with ya. PQ and sound were nothing to write home about, but good enough.

A Big Hand For The Little Lady - 3.5 stars : This one gets an extra star or so for having such a good ending. And I enjoyed the rest of it, too. Sound and PQ were just OK.

One From The Heart - 2 stars : Weird, kinda. An "A" for effort, but they didn't really have much of a story to work with. It does, however, get all kinds of style points. And it offers up a great soundtrack of Tom Waits and Crystal Gayle in excellent surround sound. But in general, it seems to me that they never really decided what kind of movie they wanted to make and just kinda made it up as they went along. And they couldn't have picked a worse guy for the leading role. But it's worth a watch (listen, really) for the soundtrack if you have a good sound system. Oh - and Terri Garr is pleasantly sexy and surprisingly naked at times. Oh again - it's shown in 4x3 format - OAR? Good PQ.

Hellraiser: Hellseeker 3.5 I love this series. I hope brings them on. The transfers on this one was good and although it showed a technical difficulty in having the video shift to the right, I watched it completly. Some may not agree about this one but I love the those hell keepers; they are awesome.

Abandon ship 3.5 awesome movie. B&W but it showed how this movie in a very simple way can keep you captive to your TV. I thought the acting was brilliant.

The Omen Legacy 4.5 if you missed this one, you need to watch it if you are a monster fan. What a documentary? It shows you the way that this movie was made without the sophisticatio of today's special effects. It also gives you a history on how the Fox company got out of trouble and can mess up the whole triology.
