Which Dome for my RV?

I'm about to have a dome installed on my RV and can't decide between the Winegard and the King Dome. The guy at Camping World says that the Winegard will only work with the 311 receiver because of its software, while Winegard says that they recommend the 311 simply because it doesn't have a hard drive to damage if moved extensively but that it will work with all receivers. Who is right?

I know the King Dome will work because we had it on our last RV

I don't believe it matters which receiver you use. I believe the statement about the hard drives is correct.
