Mike Tyson fight on Netflix

We don't have Netflx but our daughter does so we saw the fight. Although it was pretty uneventful we thought Tyson did well considering the 31 year age difference between him and his opponent. Believe they both had a little more respect for each other afterwards.

It was evident they failed to thoroughly scale up their capacity prior to this live event. They advertised it as a major worldwide fight, and then when it was, they couldn't handle it. Growing pains, I guess!

This fight was about as real as Hulk Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior. Tyson's legs and gas tank were clearly done by the second round and Paul backed off. There was no way that Paul was going to brutally KO a 58 year old boxing legend. It was a light sparring session for the rest of the fight.

The real winner last night.

Yes but they are taking over WWE so they better get their act together because of WrestleMania and all the PPV events that they have.

The fight they say had over 65 million streaming at once... while raw on USA only does normally under 1.5 million. Shouldnt be an issue.

Also I know that the start times will not be at 8 PM like it is now, they are planning on doing a lot of international shows and the shows will air at 8PM in the time zone they are in. They feel with Netflix you can watch it on your own time.

DirecTV had zero issues with the feed (as they used Galaxy 36 @ 89W) for commercial accounts, IMO DirecTV and Joe Hand were the real winners
Joe Hand will go after bars who used somebody’s personal Netflix accounts to stream on a bar TV

Who is Joe Hand and how will he know which bars used a Netflix account?
Joe Hand Promotions is the company that sells commercial PPV licenses of fights, UFC, live events, and ESPN+ to bars and restaurants and sues them in federal court against those who pirate the stream or use home receivers that were authorized the PPV which were brought to the bar, same concept with personal Netflix accounts
