What kind of deal can I get?

I just bought my first HDTV and need to upgrade my D* receiver and satellite. I would like to get the HD DVR. What kind of deal can I expect D* to offer an exisiting customer? The $999 list price is a bit steep. Any insight into this issue would be appriciated. Thanks.
